A study by Tomasz Gorka of the University of Munich in Germany did not add clarity to the question of why the Nazca desert in Peru is lined with hundreds of thousands of lines and giant drawings. However, scientists have discovered that there are incomparably more arts than is commonly believed
The researchers walked around the outskirts of the city of Palpa (400 kilometers south of the capital of Peru, Lima) - where geometric shapes are mainly located - trapezoids, triangles, just lines. We were not too lazy - we examined more than 60 hectares using instruments that registered magnetic anomalies. And they discovered: under the drawings visible now there are many others. In approximately the same way, under the paintings of artists, thanks to X-rays, old subjects are found, closed by later overlays.

- The method of drawing lines is known, - says Gorka. - Red oxidized stones thrown aside. The resulting lighter stripe was naked. Someone supposedly plotted from 400 BC to 650 AD. And it looks like the work was very extended in time. Either the drawings were periodically corrected, or new ones were added. What is now visible from the air is the latest version.
Gorky's colleague - Karsten Lambers - from the German University of Konstanz in Germany confirms that there are magnetic anomalies in the drawings. And in some they are stronger than in others.
What the German discoveries mean for understanding the essence of the riddle is not yet clear. Scientists believe that the drawings were made by people for ritual purposes. And along the lines, local residents regularly walked back and forth. And they stomped it hard. Supposedly, these walks were necessary during prayers.
Presumably, such a vague hypothesis is no better than the previous ones, which imply that there were some aliens here. Like, it was they who carved the desert with their lasers. Really, for what? Again a riddle. Maybe something is encrypted by magnetic anomalies?
