A strange two-legged creature has appeared in the Lida district of the Grodno region. It is about one and a half meters tall, covered with black wool and looks like a monkey, BelTA informs, citing eyewitnesses

Dozens of people saw this creature - in a corn field near the village of Krasnovtsy, near a store and in the area of the villages of Kovali and Rulevichi. One of the eyewitnesses discovered it on its own apple tree at the moment when it was eating unripe fruits. However, as the agency reports, no one was able to see and describe in detail the creature, since upon discovery it immediately disappears.

As experts of the regional committee of natural resources and environmental protection assume, this is a monkey who escaped from somewhere. But the Grodno Zoo reported that their primates are all in place.

Meanwhile, the police say that this is speculation. “No traces of the presence of the strange creature have been found. We found out this information, in spite of the fact that no one officially applied to the police,”the Lida district police department told the Interfax news agency, whose residents allegedly saw a mysterious specimen.

The district inspector interviewed a person who allegedly observed a shaggy creature. “He very colorfully and in detail described an incomprehensible creature that was sitting on an apple tree and eating unripe fruits. However, it is impossible to draw conclusions based only on the story of this impressionable person,”the police department said.

“There were stories of several teenagers who allegedly saw an incomprehensible creature running through the corn fields,” the police added. However, according to the interlocutor of the agency, "this information is also from the category of fantasies."

In turn, the village council, on whose territory this creature is allegedly located, said: “Rumors that someone is running through the fields have been circulating for several weeks. Children allegedly saw someone shaggy. “There was no information from adults who constantly go to the forest for berries, and therefore are not afraid to see something terrible behind every tree,” the village council added.

Meanwhile, according to a source of the agency, who wished to remain anonymous, "the strange creature has already moved to the territory of the neighboring Voronovsky district." The Voronovskiy district police department reported: "So far, there have been no signals that an incomprehensible creature lives in the district." “If they do, we’ll start to find out,” the police concluded.

According to law enforcement officials, no traces of the creature were found during the inspection.

“No traces of the presence of the strange creature have been found. We found out this information, despite the fact that no one officially applied to the police, Interfax quotes a representative of the Lida District Department of Internal Affairs.

“The district inspector interviewed a person who allegedly saw a shaggy creature. He very colorfully and in detail described an incomprehensible creature that was sitting on an apple tree and eating unripe fruits. However, it is impossible to draw conclusions based only on the story of this impressionable person,”the police department noted.

“There were stories of several teenagers who allegedly saw an incomprehensible creature running through the corn fields. This information is also from the category of fantasies. Some children, like adults with mental disabilities, are prone to fantasies, the police say.
