On July 31, at 24.00 Moscow time, August will come in Russia, which both the press and people have long called "black". This tradition emerged in the early 2000s, when more and more people began to pay attention to the strange frequency of all sorts of ominous events, which for some reason all the time fell on August:

There are dozens of explanations for the mysterious concentration of such events in Russia in August.
The officials, who at one time tried to deny the "black August", gradually, under the yoke of more and more new facts, surrendered and moved on to explain the "vacation time", although how these vacations are connected with "Kursk", with the war 8.8.8 and some other events unclear.
On August 22, Russia celebrates the day of its National Flag, so the second explanation suggested that certain attackers specifically planned their bad actions in order to present Russia this month as a “gift”. However, August 22 as a public holiday was established only in 1994, while MMM collapsed a couple of days earlier, and the August putsch happened in general in 1991.
There is also a mystical explanation of "black August": they say, so somewhere "on subtle planes" energies converged. However, the reason for the default of 1998 is definitely not on "thin plans", as well as the planning by terrorists of their sabotage.
Thus, it is difficult to say why August in Russia is such an unusual month, in which sometimes nothing happens, and sometimes wars start, nuclear submarines sink and serious man-made disasters occur.
There is no answer to this question and most likely there will not be. However, the answer is not needed, as, for example, you do not need to delve into quantum mechanics in order to press an electrical switch. It is just important to remember and know about this August.
