The testimony of a resident of St. Petersburg Nadezhda Langova, who, as a teenager, observed this phenomenon in Kazakhstan, ended up in scientific archives. In the early 60s of the last century, Nadezhda and her grandmother worked on the melon. Suddenly they saw a wall of ghostly fire approaching the collective farm field, and immediately started to run. However, the bloody fog continued to advance rapidly. Very soon Nadia felt warmth rolling from behind, and then she slipped and fell. To her surprise, the girl did not burn out. It was surrounded by a red fog, visibility in which was no more than two or three meters. Then a frightened camel ran past Nadezhda, enveloped in red sparks.
Soviet scientists became interested in this phenomenon. It turns out that the "red haze" is often encountered by geologists in the Arctic. According to their observations, in the conditions of this strange fog, some physical laws were violated. For example, electric lamps were turned on and off. And the reflection of the face in the mirror became half … transparent. Scientists believe that "red haze" is a manifestation of the so-called chemiluminescence, when the decay of natural gas into inert neon and helium produces a red fog effect. However, representatives of alternative science believe that the crimson fog is nothing more than traces of antimatter that enters the Earth's atmosphere through portals to parallel worlds. And supposedly for the same reason, red sprites appear in the sky - crimson flashes, shaped like a jellyfish. Recently, a similar phenomenon was recorded over Siberia from the ISS.
