The drift (displacement) of the North Geographic Pole (GSP) of the Earth is spoken of in school textbooks and scientific literature, and the trajectories of its movement over the past 10-12 thousand years are indicated. But the well-known trajectories of the SCT do not reflect the dynamics of its movement and say little about the past period in the life of the Earth. In addition, some authors indicate that the period of movement of the SCT lasted 570 million years on the way from the equator to its present location.

In this case, some other time measurements are indicated that do not correspond to the time used by modern civilization on our planet. We still do not know the causes of climate change and proceed from the assumption that the laws of nature are constant in the life of the Earth.

The overwhelming majority of people and scientists believe that there have always been ice caps of the North and South Poles in these places. In fact, everything is in motion, moving. To predict their life, people must know about the ongoing processes of life on Earth in order to avoid many troubles.

One of the reasons for global changes in climatic conditions in different regions of the globe is glaciation and permafrost, moving together with the movement of the geographic poles of the Earth (southern and northern), and sometimes independently of them. The existing knowledge does not yet give us a clear answer to these phenomena. From educational and scientific literature we know that the main known poles of the Earth are: geographic, magnetic, cold, Mira. Today, their location is determined by glaciation areas. There are known periods when the Arctic Ocean was free of ice. At the same time, glaciers and permafrost form far from the poles of the Earth, including in the regions of the tropic mountains (although not all mountains).

The question arises, is there a general pattern in the formation of cold and permafrost, glaciation? In search of an answer, studies were carried out that made it possible to identify the complex trajectory of the movement of the north geographic pole around the globe. It turned out that the SCT for 42 thousand years passed its way from the center of Antarctica to its existing position in the northern Arctic. At first, the trajectory of its movement from Antarctica to the center of Africa looks smoother without strong deviations to the sides. This path to the equator was covered in 2.5 thousand years. After that, the trajectory of the SCT for the remaining 39,5 thousand years (from the equator to the current position of the SCT), it began to make sharp turns either westward to the Canary Islands and America, then eastward, through Asia Minor and Europe to the Trans-Urals region and again through Europe, Greenland, Canada, to the area that exists today its position.

Studies have shown that the North Geographic Pole was in some areas for a long time, while in others it did not stay for a long time. Our research has determined the trajectory of movement of the SCT across the globe in time (over millennia and centuries) with reference to a certain area of the Earth. It was revealed that 39.5 thousand years ago there was no global glaciation on the Earth, just as there is no it on the planets of the solar system. This phenomenon on Earth is temporary, local, and migratory. How long it will last is still unknown.

The first areas of glaciation on Earth appeared 39.5 thousand years ago, when the GCS was in the center of Africa, west of Lake Victoria. The first local cold centers of ice formation (CL) appeared here. The mechanism of operation of these centers is still unclear. Subsequently, the number of CL in the areas of the moving pole gradually increased, forming separate or general laws of glaciation and permafrost. For example, 38 thousand years ago, the SCT was located in the Canary Islands region west of Africa, with about 12 CL located from Spain to the Bermuda Islands of Cape Verde.

When the SCT was found 27.5 thousand years ago, there were already more than 17 centers of ice formation in the region of the Middle Urals, located from the Volga to the Ob and from the South Urals to Novaya Zemlya. Glaciation and permafrost had much wider boundaries.
