The Los Angeles Out-of-Body Research Center recruited 20 volunteers. They were instructed how to plunge into a phase of REM sleep and during it go into the so-called astral plane, that is, a state when the soul is supposedly separated from the body for a while. Lead researcher Michael Raduga said that more than half of the participants in the experiment succeeded, and seven of them were able to communicate with aliens in this state.
One of the volunteers named Alexander said that when he was out of the body, he immediately met three aliens. “They looked more like the creatures from the movie The Thing than the usual big-eyed tadpoles. They wanted to talk, which scared me a lot, and I quickly woke up in my own body,”he recalls.
According to Raduga, this proves that reports of encounters with green men are just a figment of the imagination. “When people talk about being abducted by aliens at night, they are not deceiving. They just don't know that they were in REM sleep, and their minds were traveling at that time. It is very realistic and people cannot understand what is happening to them. And this can happen to anyone,”he explained, adding that more than a million Americans annually report contacts with representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations.
