Last fall, a resident of the distant mountainous country of Nepal, Hagendra Tapa Magar, became the Guinness Book of Records record holder - his name is inscribed on the pages of this collection of the most amazing achievements for being the smallest person in the world
But the tiny man, whose favorite delicacy is a large chocolate cake decorated with red cream, did not rest on his laurels in his native village, but went on a world tour to raise money to help orphans and homeless children. The 18-year-old knows how difficult it is to live destitute in this world. Although Hagendra himself is not a poor man, he has a hard time on the "planet of giants": after all, the growth of a little man with such a big and kind heart is only 65.53 cm.
"Baby" Hagendra Tapa Magar arrived in Australia - a continent located at a distance of several thousand kilometers from his homeland. The green continent was the first stop on the world tour, which was decided by an 18-year-old Nepalese, whose height does not exceed the size of a three-month-old child. Hagendra was born with a weight of 600 g, and now he weighs no more than 5.5 kg.
Already in the first minutes of his stay on Australian soil, he once again faced the constant difficulties that fill his life in a world where everything is designed for people who are 2.5-3 times higher than him. The car, which was taking Hagendra from the airport to the hotel, was stopped by a policeman: the police officer wanted to fine the driver for carrying the "child" not in a special chair that protects him from injuries in the event of an accident. Only when he saw Hagendra's passport, the policeman realized that in front of him was the famous Guinness record holder.
It is also very difficult for a child to use public toilets, but he is not discouraged and intends to raise a lot of money to help children who do not have parents and homes. The background is named after its founder, the Khagendra Thapa Magar Foundation.
“I never think about whether I would like to be of normal height. I am happy to be what I am: a unique individual in its own way,”says little Hagendra as an experienced adult.
