Pope Francis launched an investigation after a statue of the Virgin Mary in his homeland, Argentina, burst into tears, yournewswire reports.
While some of the Catholic believers believe that tears are the miracle of Easter, others express fears that it might be a "warning or punishment", and some believe that this is a message for the Pope himself.
Pope Francis has called for calm, but Catholics around the world call the mystery an "act of God" and argue that God is unhappy with the pontiff, who appears to be more inclined towards a liberal political agenda than spiritual issues.
According to Express, hundreds of fans flocked to a remote city in Argentina after footage of the crying statue went viral.
Parishioners make a pilgrimage to the family home in the province of Salta, Argentina, where the statue is kept.
The small icon of the Virgin of the Mystic Rose, one of the names used for the Virgin Mary, belongs to the Frias Mendoza family.
The local radio station in the city of San Jose de Megan San was the first to publish details of the macabre event that began after Lent.
The owner of the statue said that Mary visited him in a dream "the day before the miracle began."

Mr. Mendoza said: “This is the first time this has happened and I was very scared. I thought it was some kind of punishment.
A few hours later, footage appeared of red liquid flowing down the face of the statue.
In the video, a person points to the icon's eye as tears of blood emanate from it.
As the news spread across South America, hundreds of people came to the small town to pay their respects.
According to local reports, the family's dining room became a temporary sanctuary for the statue.
However, the statue will be moved to the local Catholic church for other Christians to visit.
Priest Ricardo Quiroga explained: “Many people come here to pray and light some candles dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
"If she cries again, we will need to do something at a high level in the church."
But the priest Julio Raul Mendes urged people not to jump to conclusions.
He said the church-led research will seek a scientific explanation before considering anything supernatural.
Mr. Mendes said, “The first thing the church will do is do a scientific analysis to see if there is a natural explanation.
"Only then will the possibility of a supernatural phenomenon be considered."
There are many reports of religious statues crying over the years, although only one has been witnessed by those in power in the Catholic Church.
In 1984, after eight years of research, a wooden statue of Our Lady of Akita in Japan was found to have shed real blood, sweat and tears.
