The plant was discovered in her garden by a resident of the city of Baranovichi (Brest region) Elena Bogdanova. According to her, she planted radishes in the summer, but the plant did not sprout. However, in winter, five plants appeared at once. The owner of the site associated the anomaly with a warm and rainy winter. Bogdanova and her family did not pluck and taste the vegetables, leaving them to grow in the garden.

On January 9, it was also reported that in the village of Chernikhovo, located 25 kilometers from the city, a rose bush bloomed.

According to Belhydromet, temperature records were broken in a number of regions of the country at the end of the year. So, in Minsk on December 29, plus 6.6 degrees was recorded, this figure became a record in the entire history of observations. In the neighboring Gomel region of Brest, up to 7.8 degrees of heat was recorded.

At the beginning of the month, it was reported that mushrooms began to grow in the forests of Central Russia due to the abnormally warm temperature for winter. In many regions, residents find oyster mushrooms and mushrooms, and in the Mikhnevsky district of the Moscow region, chanterelles have been collected.
