Trovanta are stones. Speaking of them, they usually add "living stones". In the sense that they can reproduce, grow and even move slowly.

In appearance, the trowans resemble ordinary gray boulders, but consist of sandstone. They all have a rounded shape, they do not have any sharp chips or corners, as well as fragments. The trowants look very curious from the inside: their cut resembles a cut of a tree, they also have annual rings, and also a mysterious small solid core around which these rings are located.

It takes moisture for a trovant to start growing, almost like mushrooms. Therefore, the main growth process takes place after heavy rains. And almost like in all living organisms, small - "young" stones grow most rapidly, and mature "individuals" grow much more slowly.

The growth rates and volumes are amazing. A tiny trovant, weighing only a few grams, with good "watering" in a couple of years can turn into a giant weighing almost a ton! Growth occurs, as shown by observations, every week.

AND ALL THIS IS THEY SHARE

How can stones multiply? In the case of trovants, after rains, tubercles appear on their surface, which increase in size, gradually taking on a rounded shape, and then fall off, becoming full-fledged independent specimens, which can also grow and “multiply”. This incredible process is somewhat reminiscent of budding. Only with the proviso that minerals “bud off”!

Even more surprising, new stones always have absolutely the same structure as the "mother" ones, including the core. But how a stone core can be divided is an unanswered question. In fact, this is simply not possible. But this happens in front of everyone.

All this even suggests that the Trovantes are actually some other and completely unexplored form of inorganic life.

By the way, as a rule, there are no single Trovant, they are always found by "families". And here a comparison with a person already suggests itself: at the dawn of history, people also settled in a specific place in whole families. The largest Trovante family is located in the Romanian region of Valcea - there are more than one hundred of these amazing stones.

ANOTHER FORM OF LIFE

There are plenty of hypotheses explaining what trowants are and why they can "grow". Currently, the most widespread hypothesis is that the Trovants, firstly, are the "children" of the earth's crust who found themselves on the earth's surface due to the active seismic activity of the past, and, secondly, they are the result of the process of cementation of sand water, rich in calcium carbonate, which continued in the bowels of our planet for millions of years.

On the surface of the earth, under the influence of atmospheric moisture, trovants, containing a large amount of mineral salts, increase in size due to the fact that chemical compounds (carbonate salts) in their composition, expanding, squeeze up the lower layers of sand, forming new and new outgrowths and bulges. This is how the trowans “grow”, increasing their size in diameter and weight from a few centimeters and grams to several meters and tons, and “multiply”.

But this hypothesis does not at all explain the fact that the "newborn" Trovants have the same "core" inside as the Trovant, the "mother."

Therefore, enthusiasts insist that trovants are special forms of inorganic life, possibly brought in from other planets with meteorites and asteroids. Given their ability to "grow", it was enough just one tiny pebble from an alien planet for many millions of years to "give birth" to many stone "aliens".

And it is quite possible that the Trovants are the "indigenous" inhabitants of the planet Earth, whose "civilization" originated millions of years ago and about which we do not even know.

LIFE IN MOTION

The theory of the extraterrestrial origin of the Trovants, as well as the fact that they are alive, is also confirmed by the fact that the Trowants can move - slowly, imperceptibly, but surely.

This inexplicable fact was first encountered by local residents, who often installed trovants because of their unusual appearance as a kind of tombstones in cemeteries. And often they discovered that the "tombstone" had escaped.

Landscape designers are now experiencing the same problem. Trowants are very interesting stones from the point of view of their shapes, which adorn parks and city lawns. But they do not stand still and arbitrarily change their location, violating the original composition.

All in all, trowers have a remarkable ability to move. They can "crawl" over very long distances and sometimes even "crawl" up a mountain.

Scientists try to explain this phenomenon as follows; they say, the movement of trowers occurs during the growth of bulges on the stones, by simply rolling. But this hypothesis does not give an answer, why, as a rule, the trowans do not turn over?

HOW TO CARE FOR TROANT?

Stones similar to trowants can be found not only in Romania, although there are most of them here, but also in other countries. And even in Russia.

Namely - in the Krasnodar Territory, in the village of Goncharka, where the famous dendrological park named after P. V. Boukreeva. Here, in addition to the collected rare species of plants and trees, you can see boulders of bizarre shape. Around these giants are scattered round stone balls, once "spun off" from larger ones.

In the Oryol region, near the village of Andreevka, incomprehensible round stones with the ability to grow also periodically appear from the ground. Oryol growing stones look unreliable, as if someone's hand blinded them out of sand. In fact, they are very strong, in order to break such a pebble, special tools and great efforts are required.

As far as Romania is concerned, in 2006 in the sand pits, near the village of Costesti in the Valce region, an open-air museum of trovants was created. Its area is 1.1 hectares. On the territory of the museum, there are collected the most unusual in appearance, color and size growing stones from all around, for example, trovant, resembling huge snails or fantastic monsters up to 10 meters in height.

There is no end to tourists, as well as from those wishing to buy a "baby" -travanta as a souvenir. The sellers will certainly tell those who bought the stone "pet" how to take care of him and will certainly warn that the baby cannot be left alone for a long time, otherwise he will run away and be lost.
