The door of Hi-Mark is called Mara Mura by the indigenous population and is considered the portal of the gods. Legends say that one day these gates will open and the gods, who once created people, who returned on "solar ships", will enter them.
This structure was accidentally discovered by the local guide José Luis Delgado Mamani when he was exploring the surroundings. And before that, as Mamani said, he saw a stone door in a dream. It was covered in pink marble and flanked by several figures. As it turned out, the guide's visions fully corresponded to the legends of the native Indians, who said that this pink door was the gateway to the kingdom of the gods. In ancient times, great heroes went through them into the divine world in order to enjoy immortality.
One of the most popular legends says that at the time of the conquest by the Spaniards, the Incas had a priest of the temple of seven rays, whose name was Amaru Muru. Then he left, taking with him the sacred golden disc, which was considered "the key to the gods of the seven rays." The priest took refuge in the mountains of High Mark so that the Spaniards would not take away the relic. Having appeared at the "gates of the gods", he showed the golden disc to the shamans and priests who were there. They performed the necessary ritual - and the door opened, a blue glow emanated from it. Leaving the key to a shaman alone, Amaru Muru disappeared forever into the opening of the stone door, saying goodbye that he would return. However, no one saw him again …
This story is very similar to the current concept of portals, or stargates. And despite the fact that modern scientists deny the possibility of such travels, legends from all over the world claim: they were once a reality.
However, the High Mark Mountain still amazes with its fantastic mystery. Suffice it to recall that a few years ago there was a settlement near it, which people suddenly for some reason urgently left. According to the stories of one of the inhabitants of that village, Jose Rodriguez, they constantly felt like on a volcano, to say the least. First, the earth periodically shook and vibrated. Secondly, some mystical things were happening in the village itself. Strange chants and sounds of Indian drums were heard, ghosts of amazing animals and people appeared, who sometimes behaved very aggressively, things disappeared and then reappeared. And there was no end, no limit.
But the inhabitants somehow put up with these "leprosy" spirits. But one summer a bright fireball flared up over the village. The next day, those who fell under the rays of this mysterious luminary noticed a strange greenish tan on their skin. The skin in that place began to itch, blisters and ulcers soon appeared on it. The doctors from the city of Puno, where the unfortunates turned, could not help them in any way - they only shrugged their shoulders in bewilderment. People who fell under strange rays began to die. And then the villagers, who survived, urgently left it, moving to Puno.
Legends of Madain-Saleh
Another archaeological site is Madain-Saleh, the history of which is even more amazing. As a matter of fact, this is a whole complex, which was built by the ancient tribe of Tamud, who inhabited these places around the 1st millennium BC.
According to the Qur'an, the Tamud people lived here after Noah, but long before Moses appeared. They decorated their temples and houses with skillful carving. For idolatry, Allah allegedly punished this people by sending them lightning and earthquakes. This place is considered cursed today. However, it seems surprising and incomprehensible the circumstance how and why on the place of residence of the Tamud tribe the fantastic complex Mada'in-Saleh appeared, very similar to the star gates of High Mark.
Finally, what is the true purpose of this huge gate? Maybe they were created as tombs, some scholars suggest? By the way, this is the opinion of orthodox science. But, in that case, where are the dead themselves?
