The twins from Kursk Andrey and Sergey are 27 years old. In their free time, they try to get in touch with the souls of dead people in abandoned buildings and cemeteries and shoot real documentary short films about this. The brothers post their videos here.
After another sleepless night alone with the "subtle world" where the souls of the dead live, the Shevelevs found a moment and looked into the editorial office of Media City.
How did the idea of recording "ghosts" come about?
Andrey (A): In general, Seryoga suggested this this spring. Says: "Let's go to all sorts of abandoned buildings and shoot it on camera."
Sergey ©: Andrey refused, and I decided to do it alone.
Are there any preconditions for your penchant for the supernatural?
A: As a child, we wanted to become ghostbusters by analogy with the heroes of the film of the same name. Recently we remembered this and laughed. In general, a lot of inexplicable things happened in our life. This was the impetus for our further research. When our father suddenly died in 2012, I had a lucid dream. Everything was so realistic! And I asked him if he understands that he is no more? He replied: "This cannot be," he cried and grabbed me, not intending to let go. I screamed for someone to wake me up. There was a clap of hands, and I woke up. It seemed that all this lasted half an hour, although in fact, I only slept for 5 minutes.
S: I also had similar cases related to the death of my father. Before I even had time to sleep, I saw a silhouette next to my bed. This silhouette hugged me. Then I could not move. I know for sure that I didn’t sleep because I heard my mother and sister talk. I called them for help, but they didn't hear.

Can you explain all this from a scientific point of view?
A: Only as a lucid dream. But how this affects physical contact - we do not know.
Are you religious people?
A: I think we are agnostics.
How do your relatives feel about your project?
A: I have a wife and a first-grader son. They treat with understanding, but I warned my son not to spread too much, after all, people may misinterpret our actions. Mom knows and, of course, worries about us. However, he realizes that we are not any Satanists. Rather, researchers. In this latest issue, we prove that we are facing something paranormal. We thought they were following us … But we did not meet anyone. The room was filled with strange sounds. We recorded what we thought was haunting us.
But old buildings are full of strange sounds, because they often fall apart right before our eyes …
A: This is not excluded. But when we looked through and listened to the materials, we realized that we had managed to capture the sound … of playing the piano! We recorded the melody, although there were no instruments in the building. At first we thought it was some kind of glitch, that we just caught some kind of radio station … But we remembered: when the spiritbox was turned off, the melody continued to be broadcast!
Why do you think some people feel the presence of the supernatural while others do not?
S: When a person believes in this, then he becomes a kind of conductor for communication with the other world. Souls seem to be attracted to such people.
A: We have a familiar skeptic whom we took with us. And, oddly enough, nothing happened.
S: Our friend, who traveled with us once, took pictures of landscapes with his phone when he was driving by. And he captured the image of the girl in the cemetery. Although he is a skeptic to the core!
What is the purpose of your research?
S: We want to check all the legends and myths existing in our area. There are no global goals yet, because we have just begun. For example, in our region there is a cemetery where, according to local residents, three people allegedly come out of the grave at night and scare people. Ufologists even came there, conducted experiments and even saw someone. We tried to write it all down, but nothing came of it. We want to test this legend.
How would you explain all this?
S: Well, maybe people are making it up. Or maybe the "thin world" exists. In general, a person's soul is energy. When a person dies, this energy comes out of him. And remains among us. We have an electromagnetic trap, which often goes off scale during our hikes. Once we arrived at the cemetery, drew a salt circle. Inside the circle, the trap did not react in any way. And outside - just off scale!
How do you feel about the REN-TV channel?
S: I haven't watched TV in 15 years. We work without a script.
What technique do you use?
C: Lavalier microphone, video camera with infrared illumination. The action camera was redesigned, now it shoots in a different range.
A: The camera is equipped with a filter that blocks the invisible range. We got rid of this filter. After which the invisible range became visible.
Do you have a Ouija board?
A: No, maybe someday we will use it (laughs).
Do you take some kind of weapon with you? There is still a risk of meeting someone inadequate …
S: No, just firecrackers to scare away dogs.
And if you are attacked ?!
S: Well … I'll have to run away.
A: For self-defense, we have a pepper spray. But for now we can do without it. Once we had to run away from the forest in Mokve, because some suspicious car drove into the terrible wilderness. You never know why they arrived. They would have removed us as witnesses (laughs).
Do you have fans?
A: So far, only friends. They ask to quickly upload the video.
Do you have nightmares?
A: Constantly!
S: And I don't sleep at all, I suffer from insomnia.
A: But we were warned that nightmares will become everyday life, so this is a deliberate step.
Aren't you afraid to go crazy?
S: Well … it's okay!
Do people who also face inexplicable things turn to you?
A: In general, they write to us. They offered to come, shoot … We did not go into details, we are still wary of this. For now, we carry out our own plan.
S: Perhaps someday we will try to get in touch with a specific person. We ourselves wonder if this is possible. For example, I believe in all this.
A: In the first videos, the camera often caught some incomprehensible translucent balls. Thought there must be an explanation for this. It turned out that the balls are called "orbs" - from the Latin "sphere". It is a bundle of energy that has no physical origin. They are usually not visible to the naked eye. However, they often appear in photographs. There are most of them in the cemetery. They come in different colors: white, blue, red. Reds are the most energetically dangerous.
If all the people who died during the existence of mankind left behind these orbs, then it turns out that the "subtle world" has been resettled … Could this be?
S: In general, it is believed that this energy disappears after some time. This is not officially proven, of course, although there seems to be research on this.
And finally: what are your plans?
A: Go to the ghost town of Adular. There even "The Battle of Psychics" was filmed.
