For several hundred years we have been trying to understand what is hidden in some of the most mysterious pyramids of Egypt. Some of them were opened by black archaeologists - in pursuit of treasures, they forgot about safety, for which they paid with their lives. Others, with all the precautions, were discovered by real scientists. Archaeological finds from here have enriched museums around the world and made mankind take a fresh look at the ancient architects. The other day, a new project ended with success: the use of ultra-modern technologies allowed researchers to look into those of the pyramids, which were previously impossible to open.
The pyramids of ancient Egypt are about 4,500 years old. They have really stood the test of time; great cultural monuments belonging to a great civilization.
Now we can learn a little more about them - thanks to cosmic rays. Archaeologists have begun to use new technology to better understand the inner workings of mysterious buildings that have been closed for thousands of years.
The new Scans Pyramids project uses cosmic rays to build internal maps of the Egyptian pyramids. At the moment, one structure has been uncovered in this way: the famous pyramid of Bent, also known as the Broken Pyramid.

The Bent pyramid is located in the Dakhshur necropolis. It is one of the oldest pyramids in existence. Satellite 3D images have shown her inner chambers, where a person has not looked for four thousand years.
The greatest interest in the scientific community was aroused by a mysterious secret room filled with human remains and, apparently, ritual accessories. Scientists do not yet know what exactly this room was built for - from the images we can say that the entrance to it was hastily filled up, and the human skeletons inside are scattered structurelessly, as if some kind of battle had taken place here.
The technology used by archaeologists has remained classified until now. Scientists feared that she might interest black archaeologists who hunt for treasures hidden in some of the pyramids.
The President of the Institute for Innovative Heritage Tayubi Mehdi has just made a statement. Scientists used cosmic particles - muons - penetrating the Earth's atmosphere. They are able to penetrate empty spaces, but are absorbed by solid surfaces, which allowed the creation of 3D images of the interior decoration of the pyramids.
It is expected that all other pyramids, which cannot be physically opened, will be illuminated in the same way. Scientists expect to find answers to many riddles - in particular, to find out the method of building the monumental pyramids themselves.
