On the night of December 9-10, one of the video surveillance cameras installed in the building of the Vorkuta mayor's office recorded mysterious luminous balls flying along a dark corridor. The record was posted on the World Wide Web, where it instantly attracted the attention of not only ordinary Internet users, but also authoritative paranormal researchers from around the world. Still, ghosts in Russia are not the most frequent occurrence, unlike in some Great Britain.
Specialists in the field say that we are talking about the so-called orbs. They are small translucent shining spheres of supernatural (so far incomprehensible to modern science) origin, chaotically moving through the air. According to experts, the orbs are not usual in our understanding of ghosts, since they have no relation in the spirits of dead people. Sometimes orbs can be seen with your own eyes, but most often they are captured only in photographs and videos.
Skeptics are convinced that this common phenomenon is caused by illuminated dust particles. However, in the absence of drafts, how could dust particles write such pirouettes in the air, behaving like rational beings, is not clear? Errors of the matrix of the recording equipment are also excluded, since the measurements in the city hall were installed the most modern and high quality.
Orbs - mysterious and little-studied phantoms
You might think that we are talking about editing or a harmless prank, but here's the thing: Vorkuta officials themselves posted the mysterious record on the Internet. According to them, CCTV cameras in the state institution react to movement, and therefore, if something happens, they turn on automatically. Obviously, they would not have worked due to dust particles flying along the corridor. It turns out that some incomprehensible force affected the motion sensors and made the camera go into recording mode.
In the video below, you can see not only the alleged phantoms, but also the reaction to them of Alexander Litvinov, an advisor to the head of the Vorkuta City Administration. A civil servant says he does not understand the hype around the sensational video. “This is the spirit of the New Year and Christmas in the administration,” the official jokes. Nevertheless, if you listen to all of his interviews, it becomes clear that Litvinov himself is inclined towards a paranormal hypothesis regarding the reasons for what happened.
