Ghosts are not only found in abandoned houses and old hotels. Some of them also live in restaurants. Where are the establishments where, along with steak, salad and a bill, you can get the opportunity to meet a ghost, looking beyond the ordinary?

The 1790 Inn - Savannah, Georgia

This photo was taken by a tourist staying at the hotel where the restaurant is located. Look closely - a pale woman is reflected in the mirror on the wall. But the restaurant is empty at this moment, and there is no one in the hall or next to it. According to the hotel staff, this is the ghost of a woman named Anne, who, according to legend, threw herself out of her room window out of unhappy love.

Ghost Lounge - Phoenix, Arizona

The name of the restaurant in the San Carlos Hotel, which translates as “Living Room of Ghosts,” speaks for itself. Many years ago, the owners of the hotel said that sometimes a figure like a "clot of fog" appears in the restaurant hall, and streams of icy air emerge from nowhere. In their opinion, it was the ghost of Leon Johnson - a maid who committed suicide, again, from unrequited love. Nobody, except the owners of the establishment, seems to have seen the ghost of Johnson, but this does not prevent San Carlos from remaining a super popular hotel for several decades, where a lot of stars from Clark Gable to Marilyn Monroe stayed.

Muriels - New Orleans, Louisiana

The Muriels restaurant provides guests with a full range of paranormal phenomena - knocks, rustles, disembodied voices, and for the luckiest ones - the appearance of the ghosts themselves. Tourists are sometimes even brought here on a ghost-themed tour. This photo was taken by one of the participants of such an excursion, who herself did not immediately notice the foggy female figure at the table in the picture. Other visitors said that they saw a male spirit - as they say, the spirit of a certain Pierre Jourdain, who once committed suicide in a room on the second floor. The owners of the restaurant are not worried about such meetings - they assure that ghosts are completely harmless and only give visitors pleasure.

Catfish Planting - Waxahachi, TX

This restaurant is home to at least three ghosts, each with its own character. The spirit of the woman, whom the owners affectionately call Caroline, does not like alcohol, and therefore often breaks wine glasses. A spirit named Anne now and then makes objects and even food fly through the air. And Will's masculine spirit throws cold drafts through the hall. Moreover, all three are shown to visitors from time to time, and Will from time to time has fun by appearing out of thin air right in front of the police patrol, after which he happily hides back to the restaurant.

Bill's Bar & Grill - Aberdeen, Washington

They say that here you can meet the ghost of Billy Goll - a serial killer who lived in the early twentieth century and sent more than 130 people to the next world. Billy Goal was caught, sentenced to two life sentences and died in 1927, but his spirit continues to dwell in what is rumored to be his favorite bar. You can rarely meet him, but otherworldly sounds, mysterious lights and ethereal whispers are an integral part of the entourage of this haunted restaurant.

Jean Bonnet Tavern - Bedford, PA

Several times restaurant guests saw on the threshold of the dining room indistinct figures of poorly dressed people, who, however, never dared to cross the threshold and approach people of flesh and blood. The owner of the restaurant, according to her confession, did not come across mysterious guests, but every time she is frightened by someone who, apparently, lives in a room in the attic. Sometimes his door is wide open, sometimes it is closed, and sometimes it is completely locked - which, of course, is strange, given that she does not give out the number to anyone.

St. James Hotel and Restaurant - Cimarron, New Mexico

Saint James is a hotel with a long and dark history. Quite a few thugs like Buffalo Bill and Jesse James have stayed here, and a lot of blood has been spilled in the hotel bar. Unsurprisingly, ghosts roam here in droves. They say that one of the guests sat down to play cards in the evening, and by morning all his rivals, who turned out to be ghosts, had melted like smoke. Number 18 is especially famous - a local ghost named Thomas Wright, according to rumors, killed here for too much card win, can seriously intimidate the guest. And in the 17th room there is a ghost of a girl named Mary Elizabeth, who does not let the guests sleep at night and periodically flutters against the background of the window. And now - look, who is this reflected in the door leaf, in front of which there is no one?

Brentwood Bistro - Little River, South Carolina

For a long time this restaurant frightened the owners and visitors with insinuating voices coming straight from the walls, for no reason at all with falling dishes and other terrible and strange phenomena. Finally, unable to bear it, the owners invited a team of ghostbusters. Having adjusted their equipment, they began to observe the room - and suddenly they saw a tall dark figure passing through the empty hall a few meters from the camera. It can be seen on the left side of the picture. Researchers of paranormal phenomena failed to examine the alien from the other world in more detail - the equipment suddenly turned off for an inexplicable reason.

Jimmy's World Grill & Bar - Luton, UK

Jimmies World is a chain of establishments, the first of which opened in 2003 in Birmingham. None of them experienced ghost problems until a bar opened in Luton in 2011. This establishment has become popular not only among people, but also among ghosts. The picture shows a fragment of an incident that happened in 2013, when a chair, napkin and cutlery suddenly for no apparent reason rose into the air and began to move towards a nearby table, but suddenly fell in the middle of the road with a crash, puzzling visitors.

Maria Teresa - Albuquerque, New Mexico

The Maria Teresa restaurant has long been known in Albuquerque as the "haunted house". It all started when one of the waiters made some not very decent joke about a woman's portrait decorating one of the walls of the establishment - and since then he could no longer walk past this portrait without dropping a tray or stumbling. Then the employees and visitors of the establishment began to periodically hear the sounds of the piano from the neighboring - absolutely empty - room. The mirrors reflected vague shadows hovering in the air, and the dishes on the tables in the morning turned out to be moved. And, finally, when trying to photograph a portrait of a lady with whom the trouble began, the employees of the establishment saw a strange luminous figure in the photo. Until now, no one knows what it was.

Chuck and Edna - Kescade, Iowa

From the very beginning of the work of the establishment, waiters and cleaners constantly complained about strange sounds, mysterious shadows slipping behind them, and other strange and eerie incidents. The owner of the restaurant, Pat Orr, did not believe them for a long time - until, finally, in 2014, a surveillance camera recorded a strange figure floating in the air in the kitchen, like a clot of fog. The figure slowly flew up to the sink, gradually took the shape of a human body - and suddenly melted into air. The employee of the establishment still does not know why the ghosts liked it so much - there seem to be no ominous and scary stories behind the building where the restaurant is located.

New Talbot - West Bromwich, UK

One evening after work, Ajahn Cohen, the pub manager, discovered that his iPhone, left on one of the chairs, had mysteriously disappeared. Suspecting that one of the employees had grabbed him, Cohen decided to review the recordings from CCTV cameras. Imagine his amazement when he saw how, in a completely empty hall, his iPhone suddenly rises from a chair and flies to the other end of the room! The iPhone showed up exactly where it landed on the video. The pub employee wondered where a ghost could come from, inclined to grab other people's things, until they remembered the previous owner of the establishment, Gary Stephens, who died of a heart attack in 1993. The chair that the iPhone inexplicably took off from was once his favorite chair.

Yamashiro - Los Angeles, California

This Japanese restaurant is famous for its great views of Hollywood - and an abundance of aliens from another world. They say that visitors more than once saw the ghost of an old bartender, who had long gone into another world, behind the bar. Employees swear that from time to time the ghostly figure of the former owner, Thomas O “Glover, floats down the hallway. But the most eerie things happen in the wedding banquet room: here from time to time, the ghost of a woman in white appears from nowhere and women's sobs are heard. Why these terrible phenomena have not scared away all visitors until now is a mystery: after all, the ghost of a sad bride is not the best guest at the wedding table.

The Cliftons - Los Angeles, California

Brett Shannon, co-owner of the establishment, took this photo before the renovation began. Looking at it, he was surprised to see a woman in the background. But Bret swears: when he took pictures, the room was empty! After talking with the workers involved in the repair, he found out that they had seen the mysterious stranger more than once: her ghostly figure appeared and disappeared in different parts of the building. Local residents suspect that this is the former inhabitant of these places Terri Richmond, whose ashes, according to the will, her relatives scattered in 2011 in these places.

Children's ghost in a restaurant - location unknown

This story was told on his page in the social network by a man named Chris. He did not want to reveal his full name or the place where everything happened, but he wanted to share his story. “My friend and I were at his not yet open restaurant,” Chris says. - We were fooling around, he tried to photograph me, I turned away … Imagine my amazement when the next day I found in the photo a small figure that looked like a nursery. I can't even imagine what it was - the institution was not open, and in the room was just the two of us with a friend."
