Read the first part here.

We continue our epic. In the first part, I added large objects as much as I could, but at any time as I write, I can find new TYPICAL objects and, accordingly, the first part will be replenished.

So, we continue to examine architecture and its characteristic elements.

But first, I'll digress a little. A little bit of emotion. An ideal example of an ancient city is the city of Chicago (You can see how the city looked a little over 100 years ago HERE)

I want to write about this. I just am struck by the obscenity and cynicism of the Americans, who have appropriated all this !!! The exhibition takes place in the middle of an IDEAL ANTIQUE CITY, and the annotation to the exhibition tells about SMALL EXHIBITS, WHICH ARE MADE OF WOOD, PAINTED WHITE. WHO BUILDED THE BUILDINGS IN WHICH THE EXHIBITION IS HELD ??? WHAT IS THE STATUE OF OCTAVIAN AUGUST DOING THERE?

THIS IS A BUNDLE OF KEYS, WHAT WOULD NOT NOTICE AND NOT TRY TO EXPLAIN WHERE IS IT FROM? It is also reported that in the hall dedicated to Russia, VODKA HAS BEEN EXCESSIVE ATTENTION. Like the Russians have nothing else outstanding. And here is the inscription on the triumphal arch:

Promotional video:

You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

You must know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

What is it, huh? Well, okay, let it be on their conscience.

Doors

The opening under the door is very high, and in cathedrals and technical structures they are generally huge, two types - about 7 meters and 10 meters, there are many examples of buildings where both are present - for example, in the Milan Cathedral. The height of the opening echoes the triumphal arches (giants of two types of growth?).

The doors themselves are massive metal (most often made of bronze). Rare specimens have survived to this day, but they are still there.

Pay attention to the size of the steps.

What should be on the spans:

a) Antique statues.

2. "Vases" with a lid (spherical capacitors-dischargers, if metal. But if painted with white paint - they become ordinary, because without knowing the original function, they can be passed off as decorative elements), which are visible in the very first photo. Close-up:

The third type (a typical condenser on a flight of stairs near St. Andrew's Church in Kiev).

Fourth type.

The fifth type is ordinary vases.

b) Obelisks (with balls at the top and without them).

Image
Image

And here is a stationary obelisk.

An interesting device can be seen in Piranesi's drawing.

This is a monument to the worship of the god Jupiter, not otherwise. Well, make it up yourself, no one knows anyway;)

c) Balls.

And, of course, wooden architecture. All the houses presented below are located in the city of Tyumen, and all of them are "filled up" as one.

I give a photo of the houses in full, you know what to look for.

3 types of turrets are represented on one building.

The houses themselves, by the way, when viewed from above, have this configuration (they completely occupy an entire block).

Bricks and masonry

Flat red (most often) thin fired brick, as they say, "forever", with a minimum amount of mortar. I wanted to measure it exactly in Kiev, but I still can't do it - the exposed parts of the wall are in hard-to-reach places. An example of masonry.

Peter and Paul Fortress (note the difference between the new and old masonry).

For the masonry of the arch, bricks were used twice as long and thinner than ordinary bricks, as can be seen in the photo above. Then the masonry was plastered and it turned out to flow around the arch, which I gave in the first part. As you can see, the bricks were most likely of mass production, which indicates the centralization and unity of the state within the entire planet.
