Participants of the expeditions that visited this vast region of Komi, with impassable taiga and foggy swamps, have identified more than a dozen mysterious places where something is happening that cannot be explained.
Sleepy glade
This local anomaly is located in the forest 11 kilometers from the Timsher village of the Ust-Kulomsky district - large boulders are scattered in the forest glade. Where they came from is not clear, since there are no rock formations in the vicinity. The second attraction of the mysterious glade is a deep glass-like pit with a diameter of about 10 meters. A large tree grows at the bottom of the pit, its top is slightly short of the ground surface.
However, the main feature of the meadow, because of which the locals call it "sleepy", is not in appearance. This oddity was first noticed by mushroom pickers. After long wanderings in the forest, people gladly sat down to rest on the boulders and … fell asleep. More precisely, they fell into a trance, because they realized where they were. As soon as a person's eyes closed by themselves, he had strange visions - some fantastic creatures, in general, similar to people. In any case, they had heads, torsos, two arms and legs. But…
Most often they were gray dwarfs no more than a meter tall. On their sallow, rounded faces, under large blue-black almond-shaped eyes, slits were clearly visible, similar to fish gills. But there were no mouth openings. The bodies of the dwarfs resembled small barrels with thick arms and sausage fingers.
Giants under three meters tall, also with gray skin, also appeared in visions. These had very long necks and wrinkled faces that looked like crumpled cloth. The eyes - a kind of crescent, turned upside down with horns - glowed from within, as if bright bulbs were hidden behind them. Their bodies looked rather thin, and almost half of their bodies were legs.

Both types of fantastic creatures were presented in the form of still static photographs. Not only lone mushroom pickers saw them. There were cases when two or even three of us went out to the “sleepy meadow” and, sitting down on comfortable boulder chairs, everyone fell into a trance. People were in an altered state of consciousness for an hour, or even more. Everyone had a headache after that.
Somehow, rumors about the "sleepy meadow" reached the "Big Land", and two ufologists arrived from Moscow to the village of Timsher. They questioned everyone who had experienced a trance in detail, and then, taking a guide, they themselves went to the clearing. We set up a tent and went out to sit on the boulders several times over the course of three days. And every time they fell into the same trance …
Before leaving, the researchers gathered the residents of Timsher in the village club and laid out their views. Judging by the appearance of the mysterious creatures, they are, without a doubt, aliens. More precisely, their "photos", somehow incarcerated in the local energy-informational field of the sleepy glade. It is difficult to say why this arose there. Perhaps it's all about the boulders: the field they create puts people into a trance. Serious scientific research is needed.
About boulders, ufologists have put forward an interesting hypothesis. Opening new lands, people, in order to “stake out” them, installed various memorial signs. It is possible that the aliens who once visited our planet did the same: they delivered the boulders to a non-inhabited area and processed them accordingly, leaving their "autographs" on them.
Rats not allowed
One of the mysterious places is located on the banks of the Vishera and its tributary, the Nivshera. We are talking about the unusual behavior of rats, which is called the "Vischer phenomenon". Moreover, it applies to several neighboring villages and villages at once: Bogorodsk, Troitsk, Bolshelug, Vilyb, Zuleb, Syuzyab, Pasvomin, Nivshera. All of them are part of a kind of "no-go zone" for rats. There these animals have never been, either in barns or in stockyards, and those specially brought in immediately die.
Vishera river
This is all the more surprising that the rat is one of the most tenacious creatures on earth. All kinds of poisons and traps do not help against them. They are omnivorous and ubiquitous. And there are practically everywhere where people live. Except for the named "zone".
As the old-timers say, both during the war and before it, most of the goods in the Vishera area were delivered on barges. So the rats allegedly still in Syktyvkar at night, or even during the day, left those barges that the tugs were supposed to lead to Vis-shera. In some incomprehensible way, the pasyuk learned about the destination of the cargo! Somehow one rat "gape" and got to Bogorodsk. There she jumped ashore, ran a little and … immediately died.
Nowadays, those who sailed along the Vishera on barges pushed by boats, claim that when it is 12-15 kilometers to Bogorodsk, near the town of Nam Vomin, rats living in the holds get out on the deck and jump into the water.
During a recent expedition, the researchers took 10 cages with rats on a boat. Most of the way from Syktyvkar, the animals behaved calmly. But when the boat began to approach the fateful place, they began to rush through the cages, even trying to gnaw through the wire mesh.
On the abeam of Nam-Vomyn, the researchers decided to release the Pasyukov so as not to prolong their torment. As soon as the next cage opened, the rat sitting in it rushed to the side with lightning speed and threw itself into the water. It was not suicide, but a real stampede, since all the pilots are excellent swimmers and they had a chance to get to the shore.
Scientists have not yet found the cause of the "Visher phenomenon". But the local residents have a legend about the sorcerer Tuvo, who obeyed the natural elements. He had the gift of foresight. He, like Nostradamus, predicted the emergence of many modern technical advances: iron horses (tractors), birds (airplanes) and an iron web (power lines).
But most importantly, it is Tyuvo who is credited with "blame" for the absence of rats on Vishera. One morning he was returning home to Bogorodsk. After going a fair way up the river bank, I got tired and sat down to eat. The new bag was only bread crumbs - at night the rats ate all the bread. Angry, the sorcerer put a curse on them, saying: "Don't go here anymore!"
Prodigal forest
It is located on the left side of the Kortvis river, four kilometers from the village of Kortkeros, on the left side of the road. Unlike the rest of the surrounding forests, this one looks very gloomy. You never hear birds singing here. Only rare crows sit in trees and croak. There are many trees in the forest with twisted and fused trunks, on which there are many growths.
In those places where twisted trees grow, barely noticeable mounds of someone's grave are visible. According to one version, these are the graves of the ancient Voguls, as the Mansi people used to be called. According to another, these are traces of dugouts, in which lived a white-eyed monster, a mythical people who allegedly besieged Jerusalem under King Solomon. Hiding from persecution, the Chud went to the North, where she settled in hidden forest thickets.
Nobody tried to dig these burials, because those who approached them were seized with panic. Nowadays, local ethnographers tried to do this several times, but were forced to stop work, because after an hour or two the shovels literally fell out of their hands.
This inhospitable place has always been considered "prodigal." There, everyone who entered the mysterious forest constantly wandered, even hunters from Kort-keros and neighboring villages, who unmistakably found their way in any thicket. In the last century, several people disappeared without a trace here, although it was not so far from housing. Nowadays, there have been cases when the inhabitants of Kortkeros, at their own peril and risk, went to the "prodigal forest" for berries, wandered for hours in the thicket, although only slightly moved away from the edge. One woman from a nearby village had been looking for her way home for over two days.
Local historians examined in detail a large area of the "prodigal forest". In one place, not far from the forest edge, the background radiation was normal - from 12 to 15 μR / h, and the bio-frame made 10 turns. But it was worth going to the center of the anomalous area, as a person fell into the energy "patch", where the radiation background reached 25 μR / h (although around it, about 20 meters, it did not exceed 10-12 μR / h), and the bio-frame made more than 15 revolutions …
The impact of the increased energy background on a person was so sensitive that one participant of the expedition had to return to the camp due to severe dizziness. And he stayed in the "prodigal forest" for only about an hour. Others had a feeling of pressure in the parietal region. Further examination revealed three more places with abnormally high energy.
It is possible that it is the increased radiation that acts on people falling into these energy traps. And before everything was attributed to the machinations of the devil!
