From her cry, everything died out for many miles around

Until now, the peoples of not only North-Western Siberia, but also North-Eastern Europe have legends about the Golden Woman. There are many testimonies of those who saw her, however, it was a long time ago. They say that the Golden Woman is capable of performing miracles. She is also known as the Siberian Pharaoh, the Finno-Ugric goddess of Yumala, Zarni An. The brazen woman, the Golden Lady, Zlata Maya is also she.

The Golden Woman is an idol cast from gold, which, according to legend, keeps knowledge of the ancient civilization and is related to Hyperborea, a northern country where the blessed people of Hyperboreans lived. But where is this idol now - a mystery, which has been trying to solve for more than one century.

In addition to the location of the idol, another mystery is how the statue actually looks. One of the possible images of a woman can be seen on the coat of arms of the Komi Republic.

Someone claims that the woman is a standing female statue, others say that the woman is sitting, she is naked and she has a child in her arms. The size of the statue is also debated. According to one version, the idol is as tall as an ordinary woman, according to another version, she is larger and taller than the tallest man. If the latter assumption is correct, then how was this "rather big" and obviously heavy statue transported off-road during the Viking raids into Siberia?

There is an opinion that the Golden Woman has several guises: someone describes her as a hare, someone represents a goose sitting in a nest.

Where did it come from?

The first mentions of a woman are found in the annals of the Scandinavian countries. It was she, according to some legends, that served as the reason for the Viking attacks on the northeastern part of present-day Russia from 800 to 1100. The Russians hid the woman from enemies - so she ended up behind the Urals. According to some even earlier reports, the baba was cast in Rome, from where the soldiers who participated in the military campaign of Alaric, the leader and king of the Visigoths, who died in 410, brought her to the north of Russia. However, such statues were not made either in Russia or on the territory of the Roman Empire.

Rumor has it that the origin of the statue itself is Indian, as evidenced by the presence in the dialect of the Finno-Ugric tribes of a sufficiently large number of words from the southern dialect, which was spoken in India. The Finnish language itself lives by the same laws as the languages spoken in the south of India, in the territory of southern Afghanistan, and eastern Iran. This allowed researchers to speculate that the statue of a woman may have been brought from the territory of India.

In Russia, however, they first started talking about a woman in 1398. The Sophia Chronicle, dating from this year, reports the death of Stephen of Perm, a saint who lived among the pagans who worshiped “idols, fire, stone and the Golden Woman,” converted them to the Orthodox faith and sought to find the very woman to destroy. Hence we can conclude that in the XIV century the woman "lived" (or has already visited) on the territory of the present-day Komi-Permyak district.

In 1582, during the conquest of Siberia by Yermak, on the Ob River, the Cossacks heard from the locals about the Golden Woman. At the beginning of the 17th century, the Stroganov merchants equipped an expedition in search of a woman, but it was not crowned with success. In the 19th century, ethnographers discovered tribes that passed on a silver copy of the goddess from generation to generation. The 21st century is already in the yard, and the search for a woman continues. So far to no avail.

Only shamans knew

It is not surprising that the Golden Woman, which has been sought and cannot be found for centuries, keeps many secrets and mysteries in itself. What is its strength and power and where it is worth looking for, says the doctor and film director Albert Martynenko in his book "Treasures of the Gulag", written on the basis of the diaries of a doctor who worked in hospitals in Soviet camps. Dying patients who came to the doctor shared the most secret with him. One of the patients also told about the Golden Woman. This secret was brought from Solovki (Solovetsky camp for special purposes) by a prisoner, a former archaeologist and professor at St. Petersburg University.

According to the archaeologist, during the baptism of Rus, the peoples living in the present territory of Komi decided to hide the pagan idol - the Golden Woman. Only 10 shamans knew the secret of her whereabouts, who undertook to pass this knowledge from generation to generation so that the idol would not be lost. But with the onset of Soviet power, the shamans were arrested and shot, and together with the shamans the last knowledge about where the ancient goddess is now was dissolved.

On the Kola Peninsula there is a lake with the strange name Babozero. It was there that the "Hyperborea" expedition was equipped. Its participant Vladimir Kuznetsov made a discovery - on the banks of the Babozero, where he was taken by the Sami reindeer herders, he saw a huge stone statue of a woman, and next to it were bones left over from sacrifices and other objects. The only thing that confuses is that the statue is made of stone, and the woman, judging by its name, is made of gold. Therefore, the search has not yet been stopped.

Legends and beliefs:

- They say that if the Golden Woman is melted, then Russia will face pestilence, devastation, war.

- There is a legend that Joseph Stalin obtained permission from the Siberian keepers to visit the woman - and after that he gained great knowledge that helped him influence the fate of the country.

- They also believe that the Golden Woman is a kind of Siberian queen Isis.

- Ufologists hypothesize that the Golden Woman is an alien robot left by aliens on Earth. At first, as a robot, she could move, and then she went out of order and stood up.
