Even many decades after the death of Nikola Tesla, the mysterious experiments of this great physicist continue to haunt the minds of scientists and are vividly discussed in the media. In particular, a version is expressed that the Tunguska catastrophe of 1908 was caused by the experiments of N. Tesla

In support of this hypothesis, it is reported that at that time Tesla had seen a map of Siberia, including the area in which the explosion occurred, and the time of the experiments immediately preceded the "Tunguska Diva".

In the spring of that year, in a letter to the editor of the Kew York Times, Tesla wrote: "… Even now, my wireless power plants can turn any area of the world into an area uninhabitable …"

In 1996, the predictor Manfred Dimde suggested that the Tunguska explosion was the consequences of the launch of a wireless energy torpedo, which Tesla was doing at that time [Dimde M. "Nostradamus predicts 1997" M., Olympus, 1996, p. 175].

In 2000, the version was aired in A. Gordon's TV show. The version was supported by the fact that a few months before the explosion, Tesla announced his intention to illuminate the road to the north pole of the expedition of the famous traveler R. Peary. It is noteworthy that on the night of June 30, many observers in Canada and Northern Europe noted clouds of an unusual silvery color in the sky, which seemed to be pulsing. This coincides with the accounts of eyewitnesses who previously observed Tesla's experiments in his laboratory in Colorado Springs. In addition, in those days in dozens of settlements in Western Europe and Russia, there was an intense glow of the sky, night glowing clouds and unusually colorful twilight. According to spectral observations carried out in Germany and England, the glow did not belong to the aurora.

Somewhat later, in 1914, the inventor proposed a project according to which the entire globe, together with the atmosphere, was to become a giant lamp. To do this, you just need to pass a high-frequency current through the upper layers of the atmosphere, and they will begin to glow. But Tesla did not explain how to do this, although he repeatedly claimed that he did not see any difficulties in this.

This was his main invention - "Worldwide wireless system of information and energy transmission." The transmitting station could direct electrical energy to any point on the Earth, taking into account the reflection from the ionosphere - the upper layers of the atmosphere and from the Earth itself. Anyone could use it - ships, planes, factories through a special receiving installation. The same system could, according to the scientist, broadcast accurate time signals, music, drawings, facsimile texts to the whole world.

All these facts undoubtedly strengthen the position of supporters of the hypothesis that on June 30, 1908, in the area of the Podkamennaya Tunguska River in Siberia, no meteorite or comet fell, and the explosion was a consequence of Tesla's experiments with the transfer of energy over long distances.

In the morning, at 07:14 local time, a giant ball-bolide flew over the vast territory of Central Siberia in the area between the Nizhnyaya Tunguska and the Lena rivers approximately in a north-western direction. Its flight was accompanied by sound and light effects and ended with a powerful explosion followed by a continuous fall of the taiga. The explosion occurred at an altitude of about 5-10 kilometers and was accompanied by an earthquake and a powerful air wave.

The TNT equivalent of the Tunguska explosion (10-40 Megatons) is certainly very large. It can be compared to the explosion of a hydrogen bomb or the simultaneous explosion of a thousand atomic bombs, similar to those with which the United States completely destroyed the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Local Evenki hunters talked about such phenomena as a fountain of water gushing out of the ground in the Southern Swamp, the appearance of new springs in the area of the Chamba River, about the “burning face of water”, glowing stones, “dry river”, etc.

What are the main versions of "Tunguska Diva"?

The main specific feature of the Tunguska phenomenon is its versatility, which gave rise to many versions.

The combination of a number of phenomena that took place during the catastrophe, in the time preceding and following the catastrophe, made the version of a collision with a comet the most popular. However, when trying to bring the cometary hypothesis in line with all the available facts, insurmountable difficulties arise. Serious problems arise, in particular, when trying to interpret the geomagnetic effect caused by the Tunguska explosion, assessing the contribution of the internal energy of the Tunguska meteorite to the overall balance of the explosion, the mechanism of occurrence of the forest fire that followed the explosion, and a number of other factors. The currently most widespread hypothesis about the cometary nature of the Tunguska meteorite does not explain a number of paradoxical circumstances related to the flight path of the Tunguska space body,to the geophysical consequences of the Tunguska catastrophe and to the biological consequences generated by it in the area of the explosion.

These inconsistencies explain the emergence of more and more attempts to interpret the phenomenology of the Tunguska catastrophe from non-traditional positions. For example, the versions about the antimatter nature of the Tunguska meteorite, its belonging to the relict superdense matter of the Universe, etc. were discussed. Among the alternative hypotheses, one should perhaps highlight the version about the plasmoid and the technogenic alien nature of the catastrophe.

It should be borne in mind that the explosion of a cosmic body on Pod-Kamennaya Tunguska was the most striking, culminating, but far from the only episode in the complex chain of anomalous natural phenomena that unfolded in the summer of 1908.

It is known that the explosion was preceded by a giant daytime fireball flying over Central Siberia, accompanied by extremely powerful sound and light effects. An analysis of the testimony of eyewitnesses to the disaster, the total number of which reaches several hundred, reveals a circumstance that has not yet been clarified, which consists in the fact that thunderous sounds were observed not only during and after the flight of the fireball, but also before it.

Since the observers were often at a distance of at least tens of kilometers from the projection zone of the trajectory, it is obvious that the ballistic wave could not be the cause of the sounds, because it is capable of lagging behind the car, but not overtaking it. The only real explanation is the connection of this circumstance with powerful electromagnetic phenomena.

The second, rather strange circumstance, is connected with the direction of body movement. An analysis of the testimony of witnesses, collected hot on the trail of the event in the 1920s and 1930s, led the first researchers of the problem (L. A. Kulik, I. S. Astapovich, and E. L. Krinov) to the unanimous conclusion that the fireball flew from south to north. However, the analysis of the vector structure of the forest felling caused by the shock wave of the Tunguska meteorite gives an azimuth of 114 °, and the field of burn injuries even 95 °, i.e., it indicates the movement of the meteorite almost from east to west. It should be added that this direction is also confirmed by the analysis of the testimony of eyewitnesses who lived at the time of the event in the upper reaches of the Lower Tunguska.

The discrepancy is obvious. Attempts to explain it have been made repeatedly and from various positions. But only the version about the technogenic nature of the Tunguska space body or the assumption that it was a plasmoid can be seriously discussed.

The key link in the study of the nature of the Tunguska meteorite is the question of what was its material (elemental and isotopic) composition. Beginning with the expeditions of L. A. Kulik, several generations of researchers were engaged in searches for the substance of the Tunguska meteorite. Nevertheless, today we can state with full responsibility that the cosmic substance that could be guaranteed to be identified with the substance of the Tunguska meteorite has not yet been found.

What can be explained by the plasmoid hypothesis?

The energy corresponding to an explosion of 30 Mt can be stored in an ionized plasma formation, with its diameter about 500 meters, which corresponds to eyewitness accounts of the huge size of the fireball.

The trajectory of the plasmoid, like ball lightning, can change in the process of movement, which explains the inconsistency of data on the direction of movement of the fireball.

Sound and light effects during the movement of the plasmoid are caused by electromagnetic phenomena, which essentially differs from the effects associated with a ballistic wave and removes the existing contradictions.

The explosion of the plasmoid explains the occurrence of a fire in the taiga.

The electromagnetic phenomena accompanying the motion and explosion of the plasmoid, obviously, can be the cause of geomagnetic effects that cannot be properly explained within the framework of the meteorite version.

The plasmoid version explains the futility of attempts to find noticeable traces of meteorite matter at the explosion site.
