The strongest weather is raging in Sochi. Over the water area of the sea, according to official data, at least 9 tornadoes formed, but eyewitnesses claim that then 8 more atmospheric vortices joined them. Local authorities have issued an emergency storm warning, asking residents and visitors to exercise caution. There are heavy downpours accompanied by thunderstorms, squally winds up to 25 meters per second, heavy hail and mudflows.
Impressive craters, which appeared a few kilometers from the coast of the city, seriously surprised the tourists. The residents of Sochi and the newcomers put up their mobile phones and started filming an amazing natural phenomenon. At the moment, many photographs and videos of these vortices can be found in Runet. Witnesses feared that tornadoes would come ashore, but most of the craters disappeared without ever reaching the shore. Rescuers, however, urge citizens not to lose vigilance and, in case of danger, use any available shelter.
