Sarmisegetuza is the ruins of an ancient city located in Romania, high enough in the mountains. Unfortunately, as I said, the place is unpopular with both ordinary tourists and scientists and other researchers. Even so, there is something interesting to note.

According to the official history, until 106 AD, the city was the capital of Dacia, but then it was destroyed by the Romans and the place became almost abandoned.

Everything in the city was created in a fairly small size, and it does not have such perfect processing as some other megalithic objects of antiquity.

In the ancient city there is a place called the sacred fence, some roads have also been preserved, but the most interesting structures are the "round sanctuaries".

In fact, it is not known what these places were intended for in the correct circle shape, created from stone blocks and medium-sized slabs.

One of the sanctuaries has a diameter of 12 meters, the other - 30 meters. You can see that either they have suffered greatly from time, or they were created as it was. However, in some blocks, small recesses were knocked out for something.

In the ancient city, small stone blocks, moreover, of rough processing, are also lying on the ground. Again, if the blocks are compared with many much more ancient structures and these, the difference in processing technology is obvious.

In fact, even taking into account the absence of huge megaliths and others that do not fit into official history, scientists are guessing about the purpose of many buildings.

Perhaps future excavations in the ancient city will bring some more interesting artifacts, but at the moment, everything interesting ends. Only a few small elements remain of the city, but even that is not bad.
