A group of scientists from the United States managed to synthesize a substance that in the future will be able to replace alcohol and save people from the severe consequences of drinking alcoholic beverages such as addiction and hangover.

The new synthetic substance is called alcosynth (from the words alcohol - alcohol and synth - synthetic). Experts say that the substance must be added to alcoholic beverages. At the same time, alcosynth will not change the taste of this or that alcoholic beverage in any way. Moreover, having all the same relaxing properties, "synthetic alcohol" will help to avoid harm to the heart and liver, and the new drug will be able to save a person from serious diseases of these organs.

Many scientists and doctors approve of the creation of such substances and say that this discovery will help reduce mortality and health problems from alcohol use around the world. Indeed, according to the assurances of the World Health Association, annually about 20 million people get serious diseases associated with alcohol consumption, and even more people die.

American scientists also add that drinks based on synthetic alcohol may appear on the market as early as 2050.
