Each corner of Russia has its own unique place, covered with secrets and legends. There are several such places in the Primorsky Territory, one of them is Mount Pidan. Unlike many others, Pidan Mountain, in addition to legends, contains indisputable evidence of the presence of an ancient civilization with a rich culture. Mount Pidan got its name in ancient times. A good view of the Livadia ridge opens from the top, and in good weather you can see the Sea of Japan with the naked eye. It is senseless to describe the beauty of the landscape that appears from Pidan in all languages of the world, it can only be seen and then remembered many times.
Somewhere under Pidan there is a fresh lake (a reliable fact), from which several small mountain rivers originate, along which trails run to the foot of the mountain. The water in them is very clear and icy even on the hottest days of summer.
Those who have tasted this water will forever remember its amazing taste. Water has healing properties. At least, it is known that no one has yet fallen ill after swimming in the icy water of the river, but, on the contrary, remained vigorous for several days.

There are many legends associated with Pidan. Even the most revered historian and traveler in Primorye V. Arseniev at the beginning of the 20th century. wrote about a flying man at the foot of the mountain, who had been seen for many centuries, even before the Russians came to these lands. Almost every year, people appear who claim to have seen a flying person. According to many descriptions, this is a blond woman with a very pale face of the European type, dressed in white clothes, giving off a terrible cry if she feels threatened. People with extrasensory abilities see her much more often, according to their statements, this woman is a spirit called to protect and preserve the mountain from evil.
This evidence should be taken seriously not only because the authoritative researcher Arseniev spoke about the flying woman, but also on the expedition to Pidan in the mid-90s. American journalists. They shot a film about the secrets of Pidan, on the top of the mountain they managed to capture a flying man on film within a minute. The filmed documentary was shown on US television. Unfortunately, Russian scientists have not yet reached Pidan, but they should. Is it too difficult for them? Or are they afraid that their theories will crumble like a house of cards?
But the most mysterious thing on Pidan is dozens, if not hundreds of stone megalithic blocks, as if scattered from the foot to the top of the mountain, amazing dolmens and prehistoric stonework - a wall standing at the top of the ridge almost at the top of Pidan. Unusual stones begin to meet along the narrow and steep path leading to the top of Pidan, but they can not be seen if you follow another path, so many tourists do not know about the megaliths. In the beginning, these are ordinary stones, of which there are thousands, but, climbing higher, you come across stones with patterns and a destroyed dolmen.
It is not known what the dense forest hides behind it on either side of the trail. Rarely does anyone dare to move more than a few meters from the trail, fearing to get lost or to lag behind their comrades, and even worse to be bitten by a poisonous snake, snake or viper, of which there are a lot.
Even more questions arise when you leave the forest into an open space before the last, most interesting and difficult stage of the ascent. A long ridge stretches towards the highest point of Pidan, at the top of which there are megalithic structures. The impressive stonework stands from 400 to 500 meters long. Fans of climbing Pidan call it the Jurchen wall.
Anyone who climbed Pidan along the ridge must have seen the so-called “Pidan wall”. Is this a unique natural formation or a real wall made of huge slabs? Pidan's wall is not a single rock formation. This is a cyclopean structure, consisting of many stones tightly fitted to each other. This wall is not even at all. At first glance, one gets the impression that the stones were laid at random. But if we take a closer look, we will see that the stones are very precisely fitted to each other, at least a little and stick out at the sides. That is, if there was a reasonable architect at the wall, then he certainly knew his business very well.

The stones used for the masonry of the wall clearly belong to the same mountain. They were not imported from somewhere else, but mined here. The closest possible place for the extraction of these stones is the modern channel of the river flowing from under the mountain.
Builders unknown to us somehow raised these huge stones from the modern river bed up the ridge. And this task was not easy. People themselves can hardly climb this mountain. Imagine what it will be like to drag a pebble weighing several tons there. But the builders not only raised the stones, but also correctly laid them one by one. Suspicious tenacity. Inevitably, no less suspicious megalithic structures in Europe and America come to mind.
The strangest thing about Pidan's wall is its structure. The stones are fitted to each other with the highest precision, however, at the same time, they bulge out in different directions completely disproportionately. And the stones themselves are processed in a strange way. You will not see even rectangles here. One side of the stone can be perfectly flat, while the other is slightly curved. One side can be cut at right angles, and the other - not processed at all.
The theory of the artificial origin of the wall is partially confirmed by a detailed examination of the stones. Particular attention should be paid to the signs on the stones. The most common sign on Pidan stones is a line. Lines marked a lot of stones, both along the wall and in general throughout the mountain. As a rule, they are not painted, but as if carved into the stones. Lines are found both on individual stones and on stones laid in rows. In addition to lines and inclusions of other minerals, there are also rather incomprehensible depressions on the Pidan stones. Most often, such depressions are oval, these are the so-called "traces of God." But there are also exceptions.

It turns out that the stones were used for the construction of some rather grandiose structure. But where, then, is the structure itself? If you remember the stories about the Pidan caves and the underground lake, then the answer suggests itself - a mysterious structure is located inside the mountain. And the mountain itself, in fact, is an artificial mound of stones, which, however, just corresponds to its name "Stones piled by God."
Thus, if we assume that the Pidan wall is someone's conscious creation, then, having brought together all the available facts, we will be able to determine the identity of the architect of the mysterious wall. It is possible that Pidan was created by more than one "architect". There were probably many builders. And they were definitely not people. This mountain was built by ancient creatures whose names we do not know and are unlikely to ever know. We also do not know how they managed to build this "temple", built of gray stone with unknown caves …
At the top of Pidan, a strong energy is felt, many people are swayed in different directions, some experience a great surge of emotions from laughter to tears. When you climb to the top, you get a feeling of inexplicable aggression towards others and yourself, you can easily quarrel over a trifle. Things are different during the descent: joy, positive emotions, I want to sing songs and laugh. If you break up a night camp at the top or at the foot of a mountain, dreams take on a special meaning.
Healing water was found on the mountain, the medicinal power of which was known even in ancient China. This is indirectly confirmed by Chinese mythology. The Chinese had a legend about the northern magic mountain Gaoqianshan, from which the transparent and cold stream Ditaijisian flowed down, the life-giving moisture of which protected people from heart ailments. The good spirit of Dee Tai ruled this stream. If you think about the wonderful properties of water from the underground source of Pidan, you will inevitably think about the veracity of the old Chinese myth.
But isn't this mythical spirit of Di Tai then the very "higher" that Pidan's tumulus hides? Isn't this the kind spirit of Pidan that people who climb the mountain turn to every day? Is there an underground dwelling of an ancient god on Pidan, or is all this just my idle speculation? Time will tell … At least now the mysterious "master of the mountain" does not manifest himself in any way. This means that we still have a chance to independently solve this main riddle of Pidan.
