Express: A large number of earthquakes and the activation of volcanoes around the world, has raised fears of large eruptions and maybe even a violent explosion.
Hawaii has recorded 18 earthquakes under the Kilauea volcano over the past 18 hours.
The strongest earthquake occurred on the Big Island, with a magnitude of 2.2 on Wednesday, 6 km south-west of the volcano.
Kilauea is showing bad heightened signs of activity as the lava lake is at the highest level and continues to grow.
A spokeswoman for the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory, Janet Bubb, said: “Overall, it was high. According to the latest data, everything is growing and pushing even higher."
According to the HVO, the lava level continues to rise and there is an increase in seismic activity in the Rift Zone near the summit.
In Mexico, the volcano Cerro Prieto is showing a sharp increase in activity with earthquakes reaching 2.4 points at a depth of 12 km.

In April, there were between two and four explosions daily.
The volcano has been showing strong ash emissions since the beginning of the month.
