The 300th anniversary of the greatest genius of the Russian Land, Mikhailo Lomonosov, as expected, passed almost unnoticed (when compared with the anniversaries of some pop singers and jesters).
Why even such a significant reason to show the young generation the brightest example of serving the Fatherland is so ineptly missed - does not need additional explanations. Everything has been clear for a long time.

One listing of the great scientist's occupations is impressive: chemistry and physics, metallurgy and mining, astronomy, geography and ethnography, public education, history, linguistics, oratory and poetry, economics and sociology, organization of science and production. Summing up his life path, Lomonosov wrote on January 30, 1761 that nature gave him patience, noble stubbornness and courage to overcome all obstacles that hinder the spread of science in the Fatherland. And there were many obstacles. And the most important of them is the Western mental yoke that was implanted during the reign of Anna Ioanovna.
Just like now, Russia was imposed on the Western model of development with its mechanistic picture of the world, schematics and formal logic in cognition with a desire for profit and domination over nature and peoples, alien to the Russian soul.
Lomonosov fully felt the intrigues of the Schumacher foreigners in the academy and the Westerners among the Russian nobility. At the same time, he was humiliated not only as a peasant son, but also as a Russian. While under arrest in a cell in the status of "Lomonosov's prisoner" he wrote poetry:

The main thing that the patriots of Russia should now adopt from the Lomonosov legacy is his courage, audacity, ability to stand up for themselves and Russia. Russia is great, but we have nowhere else to retreat. Either we begin to live with our own minds and in two five-year plans we will make up for the lost in twenty years of pro-Western reforms, or Russia, as a state, will be erased from the world map, and the Russian people will be physically destroyed and erased from the history of mankind.
Now we are being turned into slavery again. And it is painful to look at those academicians and rectors, ministers of science and art who curry favor with the powers that be and, in order to preserve their ranks and privileges, plant modernization destructive for the people and Russia according to the Western model and eradicate the principles and traditions of Russian science, culture and economy laid down by Lomonosov.
The main essence of the Lomonosov legacy was correctly understood and expressed in verse by the poet and diplomat F. I. Tyutchev. Here is his quote: “Yes, its significance is great. He is loyal to the Russian mind. I won the Enlightenment for them!"

" He said that "without Russian grammar the oratorio is stupid, poetry is tongue-tied, philosophy is unfounded, history is unpleasant, jurisprudence is questionable." And now, contrary to Lomonosov's behest and his scientific legacy, the Minister of Education of Russia Fursenko is cutting Russian lessons in Russian schools. The product of such a school, according to their ideas, should be a man-commodity, and not a man-creator.
The current rulers do not think and act in Russian and not for the good of Russia. Again, as in the time of Anna Ioanovna, a strategy is being implemented in Russia aimed at taming the energy of the Russian people and destroying its spirituality. The leaders of the state and their ministers instill in us that scientists in the West are better and we need to bring them to Russia. That our tanks and armored personnel carriers, ships and planes are worse than the western ones. Therefore, it is necessary to stop all production and purchase from abroad. And we buy.
Lomonosov substantiated theoretically and proved in practice that only a strategy of raising the national spirit and its creative creation will lead Russia to power.
Belinsky wrote about Lomonosov this way: “This phenomenon was dazzling and beautiful. It proved by itself that man is a man in every condition and in every climate, that a genius knows how to triumph over all obstacles, no matter what hostile fate opposes him, that, finally, a Russian is capable of everything great and beautiful."
