In recent years, a strange aerial phenomenon has been observed around the globe. The black rings, which have been given the name "smoke funnels", have been seen by many people in many countries around the world, from Siberia to the western tip of America.

The freshest footage showing the appearance of such a smoke ring appeared on YouTube on July 13, 2017. The unusual anomaly was captured on a smartphone camera by one of the residents of the small town of Progreso de Madero, located in the state of Puebla in the heart of Mexico (see video below).

A black ring peeking out of a dark swirling cloud sparked controversy among shocked locals, who speculated that a flying saucer had surfaced in the sky above the city.

Just a few days ago, reports of a similar anomalous ring hovering over the busy M62 in England appeared in several international news outlets.

Englishwoman Kimberly Robinson, an eyewitness to this phenomenon, described it as "the strangest thing I've ever seen."

“Me and my boyfriend were driving on the highway and noticed a black flying ring in the sky,” she said. - It looked a little blurry, but it retained the shape of a solid ring. We had never seen anything like it, so we stopped to look at it. We don't know what it is."

A few days earlier, a similar phenomenon was observed in the US state of Missouri, and over the past four years, smoke funnels have been seen over a village in Kazakhstan, the British resort of Royal Leamington Spa and and Disneyland in California.

So what are these strange black smoke rings?

UFO researcher Nick Pope suggests that this phenomenon may be completely unrelated to aliens or their space fleet.

“A so-called funnel can be caused by an explosion in a circular structure such as a chimney,” Nick said. "Thus, these strange rings can appear by accident or on purpose, as a pyrotechnic effect used during holidays or festivals."
