Unidentified flying objects show remarkable attention to the Primorsky Territory due to the presence of a large amount of minerals in this region. This is stated in declassified reports from the US Central Intelligence Agency, reports PRIMPRESS.

As stated in documents concerning the state of affairs in the USSR, on May 21, 1990, Soviet and Chinese scientists held a joint conference in Vladivostok on UFO issues. There, experts recalled the increased frequency of UFO sightings in Dalnegorsk, also called the "anomalous zone" of Primorye. According to scientists, in just four years, 10 evidences of the appearance of unidentified flying objects were recorded in the city. CIA specialists attribute this increased interest to the large reserves of minerals in Primorye.
