Anonim

Recently, reports have begun to appear in the Russian media that the incorruptible body of Khambo Lama Dashi-Dorzho Itigelov began to show signs of life. It turns out that during one of the services, drops of liquid suddenly appeared on the skin of the deceased lama, sitting in the lotus position, which the worshipers mistook for sweat. We have already talked about the phenomenon of Lama Itigelov on the pages of the newspaper "Secrets of the XX century". Today, given the interest of our readers, we return to this topic again.

Deep meditation

Thirty kilometers from Ulan-Ude, at the foot of the Khamar-Daban ridge in the village of Verkhnyaya Ivolga, there is the spiritual capital of Buddhism in Russia - Ivolginsky Datsan. It was opened in 1945, and since then it has been the residence of Pandito Khambo Lama, the head of the Buddhists of Buryatia. Pilgrims and simply tourists from all over the world come here. However, they are attracted not only by the opportunity to pray here and admire the temple complex. People want to see Khambo Lama Itigelov, who died in 1927, was buried, and 75 years later recovered from the ground. The body of a lama is not subject to decay. Furthermore! Those who have had a chance to look at the lama say that he is alive, but in a state of deep meditation.

However, let's start in order.

One in three persons

Today there are many sources from which you can find out the biography of Dasha-Dorzho Itigelov, so we will tell you about her only in brief. He was born in 1852 in the Ulzy Dobo area (now it is the Ivolginsky District of the Republic of Buryatia). Left an orphan early, he tended sheep for five years, thus earning his living. However, the boy's life as a shepherd did not appeal. When he was fifteen, Dashi-Dorzho went to the Anninsky datsan of the Khorinsky steppe Duma. There he studied Sanskrit, Tibetan language, philosophy, logic, medicine for two decades. Later, the young man, wishing to improve his knowledge, moved to Tsugolsky, and then Aginsky datsan, served in the residence of the Khambo Lama in the Tamchinsky datsan. At this time, he became a gabji lama, which corresponds to the title of candidate of philosophical sciences. Then the young scientist was a staff philosopher at the Yangazhinsky datsan.

In April 1911, Dashi-Dorzho Itigelov became the head of the Buddhists of Eastern Siberia - Pandito Khambo Lama. In one of his biographies it is written: "Itigelov in one person combined the posts of the current ministers of education, culture and health of Buryatia." Throughout his life, he wrote more than 50 works on Tibetan medicine and Buddhist philosophy.

Into another world

It makes no sense to list here how many truly great deeds Itigelov accomplished in his high office. Real miracles began at the moment when he decided that his earthly journey was completed. On June 15, 1927, he sat down in the lotus position and asked his disciples to recite a prayer of death - Goodwill for the deceased. The disciples began to object - is it possible to say such a prayer for a living person? And then Khambo Lama himself uttered the first words of the Goodwill. Gradually, the students joined him. He passed away, being in full health, and before his death he said to the audience: "You will look at my body in less than three decades."

After making sure that the teacher was dead, the students placed his body in a large cedar box, covered it with rock salt and buried it.

He's just resting

Since then, the box with the body of the llama has been dug up twice - in 1955 (after a strong earthquake) and 1973 - and then buried again. And each time it turned out that time had no power over the ashes of the saint. In 2002, on September 12, the remains were exhumed again. The body was soft, like that of a living person, the joints were bent, there was no smell of decay - a fragrance emanated from the box. It defied any scientific explanation. Since then, the remains of the deceased lama have been worshiped by Buddhists not only in Buryatia, but throughout the world.

He still sits in the lotus position, and although he died 83 years ago, it seems to people who have seen him that the lama is meditating and can move and speak at any moment. Perhaps that is why the people in the Ivol-ginsky datsan believe that the former Supreme Lama is actually alive, he is just resting. Perhaps that is why pilgrims are allowed to visit the saint only on holidays - on ordinary days they should not disturb his peace.

Fulfilling requests

In the datsan there is a special person who looks after the "resting" lama. He twice a day enters the room where the body is, checks if everything is in order. He knows that Itigelov's height is 1 meter 67 centimeters, and his weight is 41 kilograms. And these values are unchanged.

Among those who visited the lama, there are rumors that his hair and nails are still growing, and they have to be cut. However, according to the assurances of the person who cares for the body, this is a myth. According to Buddhist beliefs, the hair and nails of a corpse grow only if the deceased has not gained eternal life. Itigelov will live forever. That is why those who have reached certain degrees of enlightenment can hear the Master's breathing, feel the pulse beating and even meet his gaze, although his eyes (blue during his lifetime) are tightly closed for centuries. Itigelov's skin is without spots, light yellow. Hands are on your knees.

The llama sits inside a glass box that protects it from dust. But the front door is opened on the days when pilgrims are allowed to visit. This is necessary so that people can touch the shrine, and at the same time put a note with a request in the saint's hand. They say he can fulfill the prayers' requests. When leaving, you need to leave money near the box with the body - as much as possible, and then move back to the doors, without turning your back on the shrine.

Precious and inexhaustible

And just recently, the news spread among Buddhists that Khambo Lama Itigelov is beginning to slowly return to life. His body temperature rose to 36 degrees, and when people pray next to him, it rises to 37. Moreover, he began to sweat! Sweat permeates the saint's clothes, and they have to be changed much more often than before. The most surprising thing is that, according to recent studies, tissue samples from his body have such qualitative characteristics as if they were taken from a living person! No signs of decomposition! Furthermore. Scientists have found that the cells of the body vibrate at a frequency of 1 hertz - the cells of the human embryo vibrate with the same frequency. Buddhists call the body of the Hambo Lama precious and inexhaustible. They are sure that part of their vital energy is passed on to Itigelov the prayers that the minister reads next to him.

September 12 marks eight years since the last exhumation of the saint. On this day, in order to join the miracle, Buddhists from all over the world gathered in the Ivolginsky Datsan. Science is not yet able to explain the Itigelov phenomenon, but believers know that this is a sign from above. A sign that the Earth is entering a new era of high spirituality, and each person can and must be transformed internally. Khambo Lama Itigelov seems to show all of us that there is no death.
