Reality exists at the quantum level only when an observer exists with it, scientists say, thus proving the fundamental possibility of a time machine capable of changing the past.
Back in 1978, a theoretical physicist from the United States of America, John Wheeler, proposed an experiment that was a variation of the classic double-slit experiment in quantum physics. We are talking about an experiment, according to the results of which it turned out that reality at the quantum level changes its properties depending on whether someone is watching it or not.
Wheeler proposed some changes to the rules of the experiment, and in the end it turned out that atoms behave in even more intricate ways than expected. And their behavior exactly changes depending on the presence of the observer.
What does time travel have to do with it? It is assumed that events that have already occurred cannot be changed, since in this case a paradox arises - for example, you can go into the past and change it in such a way that your birth becomes impossible. That is, how did you travel back in time then? Somehow we went - quantum physics tells us, mysteriously moving quanta. Studies of the quantum world show that the time machine probably exists already now - by doing something in the present time, we also change the past.
