Subsequently, their remains were sometimes found high on tree branches. It is not known what kind of creature has such power to lift a calf up a tree. There were even cases of missing children, who could not be found. Locals believe that all this is the tricks of a flying monster, outwardly a bit like a man.it has large webbed wings, a span of 2 meters, and on its feet there are large claws, with the help of which it captures and carries its prey. This creature lives in the caves of Mount Pidan, of which there are many and leads a secretive lifestyle.
Even the famous traveler and writer V. Arsentiev mentions this monster in one of his books. There he tells how he encountered a winged monster on the trail after the rain. The most unexpected thing was that an unknown large creature soared into the air and flew away after Arsentiev threw a stone in his direction. He could not see exactly what it was because of the fog, but the traveler noticed that it was large and with wings. And after the creature flew away across the river, shrill cries similar to women came from there.
Meetings with the winged monster continue today, and they do not always end without consequences. So, in 1968, a hunter suffered from the claws of a monster, who decided to spend the night in a cave on the mountainside. He miraculously survived, but when this cave was found, it was already abandoned.
Today, despite the possible danger, a large number of curious and enthusiastic explorers come to the area of this mountain in the hope of finding the legendary flying man.
