The sensational statement, according to the Data news agency, was made by Professor Artem Yurov. The Kaliningrad scientist claims that, perhaps, the world around us is a kind of Matrix, and the entire existence of mankind is simulated on a computer.
The theoretical physicist of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University presented his unexpected theory in a scientific work entitled “Science in a Minute”, in which the scientist tries to explain the most complex theories existing in the scientific world in a simple and accessible language.
In his assumptions, the Kaliningrad physicist refers to the works of the philosopher Nick Bostra. Back in 2003, a specialist from Oxford wrote that the probability of humanity being in a certain Matrix is approximately 33 percent. At the same time, Artem Yurov, commenting on his theory, says that his statements cannot be understood in the literal sense. The point, according to the scientist, is that modern science has not only caught up with, but also surpassed science fiction.
It remains to be noted that today there are many theories whose authors claim that our life is nothing more than a simulation or a matrix modeled on some kind of supercomputer.
