The only park of megaliths in Ukraine [and the second in the world] - the park of large stones, if you “decipher” the word “megalith”, was created by a group of enthusiasts from the Melitopol historical and patriotic society “Great Step” [leader Serhiy Meleshko] on a mountain with a sonorous, similar to a fading echo called Oba-Tash [height 196 meters, located near the village of Saltychia, in the Chernigov district of the Zaporozhye region].
Conventionally, the name of the mountain can be translated into common language as follows: "a stone on a round top."
The foundation of the earth
As far as I understand, the name "Oba-Tash" is known even to those residents of the Zaporozhye region who hear it for the first time.
I'm not kidding.
Obitochnoe village, Obitochnaya river, Obitochnaya spit and Obitochny bay in the Sea of Azov - these are all Obitochnaya. In my opinion, without unnecessary explanations, it is clear here how the Oba-Tashnaya river, which originates from the Obatoshnaya mountain, turned into the Obatoshnaya river, and then into the Obotochnaya and further into the Obitochnaya [the Obitochnaya spit, washed by the Obitochny bay, is, I recall in the resort town of Primorsk].
There is an assumption that Oba-Tash is one of the peaks of the ancient Alanian mountains, which were mentioned by the outstanding Greek scientist [physicist, astrologer and geographer] Claudius Ptolemy. In particular, describing the country of Sarmatia, he noted that somewhere not far from Meotida [the Sea of Azov] there are "Alan Mountains".

Most likely, these are the Azov mountains - the so-called stone graves, known in Zaporozhye since the time, perhaps, of the Sarmatians … well, or the Cossacks, who called themselves the sites of the Sarmatian kings. These are Bilmak-grave, Korsak-grave, Tokmak-grave. On old maps of the century before last, Oba-Tash is also marked under the name … "Stone Grave."
The peculiarity of these unique mountain-graves, which, as if on purpose, people mutilated with quarries, is not that they are tall - they are very low. But they are the first mountains that … appeared on earth. This, figuratively speaking, was that part of the land on which the Lord stayed, taking up the creation of the World. This is a scientific fact - I mean the antiquity of the Alan Mountains.
In the journal of the Institute of Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Ore Formation of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, I, in particular, read the following: "The Azov region is located in the eastern part of the Ukrainian shield and is one of the most ancient proto-continental geological bodies of the entire East European platform." And, as specialists in the field of mineralogy further emphasized, "the oldest formations of the region are represented … by associations of rocks", whose age reaches 3.67 billion years.
And this is the age of the creation of the World, as I perceive the earthly firmament.
The same journal also indicates the age of rock outcrops [granites] directly on Mount Oba-Tash: 2089 [± 25] million years.
More than two billion years ago, the Alan Mountains, including Mount Oba-Tash, already towered over the future Azov steppe, which was … well, I don’t know what the Azov Sea was like two billion years ago. I can't even imagine. And Oba-Tash already existed then! And it has survived to this day.
Always remaining, as the members of the historical-patriotic society "Great Step" especially emphasize, land: never, that is, no seas have flooded it.
In fact, Mount Oba-Tash, like some other peaks of the Alan Mountains, is the fundamental principle of our Mother Earth. This is the cornerstone, if you will, around which continents and continents known to us today began to form over time.
To happiness - a thousand steps
Quarry work on Mount Oba-Tash ceased in the second half of the seventies of the last century. As far as one can assume, it became unprofitable to transport granite from the top of the mountain - there was no normal highway or railway nearby, after all. And for almost forty years in a row, only the wind walked along the top of the mountain, which, periodically, breathing deeply the aroma of steppe grasses, rushed to the Sea of Azov to tell the gulls about its feelings.
In 2013, Oba-Tash came to life: members of the historical-patriotic society "Great Step" came here. The base of the society, by the way, is located in Melitopol, but several of its members live in Saltychia - in the village of the Chernigov region closest to the mountain. And the closest housing to the mountain is the Velikiy Stav tourist center - it is located on the bank of an artificial reservoir near the mountain itself.
The idea to create a megalith park on Oba-Tash came to the head of the society, Sergei Meleshko, a historian, speleologist, and biolocation specialist - in the early 90s, for example, he biolocated the world-famous Stone Tomb near Melitopol.
- Energy of the Stone Tomb and Oba-Tash mountains, - I asked Sergey, - are they similar?
- They are completely different. To make it clear, the Stone Tomb works … like a prayer icon. And the energy of the Oba-Tash mountain is the energy of the earth itself, splashing out to the heavens. Everyone who has been here noted the extraordinary energetic power of the mountain. Such places are popularly called: places of power.
Already today, the park, which, according to its creators, is still far from being completed, surprises with an abundance of megalithic objects [created from large stones].
In real life, these objects are scattered all over the planet, and on Mount Oba-Tash, members of the "Great Step" society recreate copies of all known megaliths of the past. Moreover, the copies of the megalithic structures created on the mountain are active. They are strictly oriented in space, for them - individually for each, their place of power is selected.
And the park facilities are working.
In particular, they explained to me that if you take a thousand steps along the energy labyrinth, which is arranged in the original part of the park, any most cherished desire will come true.
Figuratively speaking, the road to happiness consists of thirteen circles marked on the ground with different-sized stones, slightly twisted into a spiral. To slowly overcome the whole spiral, you need to take a thousand steps. After spending ten minutes on it.
Such a maze is the only one in Ukraine. The closest one is located only on the shores of the White Sea, but it is smaller than the one.
One more object of the megalith park, I called myself a platform of cheerfulness. It looks like … an ordinary, fenced, however, stones, platform, covered with coarse sand. Sand, my companions reminded me, is quartz, each grain of which is, if you will, a microcomputer. It contains both certain information and certain energy. When walking on such sand, a weak, extremely weak current arises, which is nevertheless captured by the body.

I will name a few more objects of the park of stones: the Temple of the Winds with four - on the cardinal points, altars [an analogue to it can be found in Tibet], the Scandinavian Sun boat and a mysterious dolmen.
The purpose of the dolmens has not yet been clarified [there are many of them in the Caucasus]. There is an assumption that they were used for … transmission of information over a distance - from dolmen to dolmen. In what form was the information transmitted? In the form of mental images, for example.
Do many of us know how to think in this way? And the ancient people, who created amazing stone structures several thousand years ago [remember, for example, the famous Stonehenge], were able to.
They showed me in the park of megaliths and an ancient tomb [cromlech] with a special farewell table, on both sides of which - at parting with the departed to another world, bonfires were kindled, separating this world from the other world.
Then the tomb fell asleep, turning … into a kind of flying saucer. Pay attention to how all our steppe mounds look like, inside of which there are cromlechs: after all, they resemble flying saucers! One has only to turn on the fantasy.
Was it by chance that the mounds were given such a shape? I don’t think so. Wise people, and our foremost ancestors from the era of the megaliths were just that - wise, they do not accidentally do anything.
Another object of the park, which is directly connected with both the Egyptian pyramids and the constellation Orion, is located not far from the energy labyrinth. These are three reconstructed mounds with menhirs installed on top - ancient obelisks that symbolized the sacred marriage of heaven and earth. Much, much later, the megalithic epoch, menhirs were transformed, by the way, into realistic sculptures - into Polovtsian women, who performed the same function: they consecrated the marriage of heaven with earth.
The mounds are strictly oriented in space and are similar to the three most famous Egyptian pyramids in Giza, which, as you know, are located in strict accordance with the stars of the Orion belt [Mintaka, Alnilam and Alnitak] - a constellation that many ancient peoples, including the Egyptians, considered slightly if not home. By the way, one of the pyramids of the famous troika is slightly displaced [as was one of the mounds near the Ob-Tash mountain].
Knowledgeable people assure that this is exactly how, with an offset, the constellation Orion once looked on the firmament: long before the creation of the pyramids in Giza, which reflected the Orion belt.
Maybe this is a specific indication of the time of the resettlement of the citizens of Orion on earth?
However, I don’t presume to say.
I just think aloud, relying not on knowledge and experience, but purely on intuition, which, I really hope, awakened in me after visiting the park of megaliths on Mount Oba-Tash …
