KOT BYUN is one of the extremely interesting images in Slavic mythology. The BAYUN lives in the thirtieth kingdom with the Great Goddess Baba Yoga, the guardian of the sacred Knowledge of the two worlds of Yavi and Navi. Not far from Baba Yogi's hut in a lifeless, dead forest, where there are no birds or animals, there is a tall iron pillar - on which a huge CAT BAYUN sits.
This man-eating CAT is endowed with a witch's voice, which can be heard from seven miles away, and he sees the whole neighborhood and seven miles away. He himself composes marvelous tales, and with his songs he can enchant and put to sleep to death. Bayun walks up and down an iron pillar, clinging to it with powerful iron claws.
As he rises up - he tells fairy tales, and goes down - sings songs. It is dangerous for brave knights and good fellows to approach that iron pillar. It happened, as the BAYUN CAT envied them, purr and start to baying tales, from which people lose their minds. A man so unprepared for battle, who does not have enough strength to resist his volzhba, the KOT-sorcerer ruthlessly kills. But those who can get this magical creature will find salvation from all diseases and ailments, for the fairy tales of the BYUNA can also be healing.
However, in order to defeat the BAYUN'S CAT, a good fellow must be extremely dexterous, cunning, courageous and persistent. For the battle with that magical creature, you need to take with you three iron caps - they are put on in order to shake off the drowsiness that the BAYON is letting on. After all, when he sings, hums, all at a distance of seven miles a dead sleep falls.
