Area 51, a closed government facility located in Nevada, has been the inspiration for many conspiracy theories regarding aliens and UFOs for decades. Recently, one of the leaders of NASA confirmed that such an object does exist.
“There really is Area 51. That's not what a lot of people think. I was in that place, but this is the usual place of research direction, says Charles Bolden, who led NASA since 2009. “I haven't seen aliens or alien ships or anything like that when I was there. I think that the secrecy of space research, which is being carried out there, gives rise to fabrications about aliens."
So, the head of NASA said that there is nothing strange about Area 51. The question seems to be closed. However, the former astronaut clearly stated that he had not seen aliens or alien ships. Perhaps he was simply not privy to the secrets of this place? In any case, the idea that there is another life in the universe will keep conspiracy ideas from fading away.
