Mother Nature sometimes fails: mutations occur, the DNA chain is damaged, and not a mouse, not a frog, but an unknown animal is born. You may have seen similar exhibits in the Kunstkamera. Let's take a look at the terrifying mutant animals.
15. Two-faced pig
This pig with two piglets and three eyes was born in a village in the south-west of China. The hostess said that she was very scared when she saw him, but still regretted it and began to bottle feed.
14. Two-headed dolphin
In 2014, on the coast of Dikili, Turkey, a physical education teacher discovered a dead two-headed dolphin. The researchers found that the animal lived for a year, and on one of the heads the blowhole was initially atrophied.

13. Two-faced cat
A cat named Frank and Louis was in the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest mutant cat back in 2011. The unusual animal was born in 1999, and, despite the disappointing forecasts of veterinarians, managed to live for 15 years. In 2014, the cat died of cancer.
12. Two-headed shark
This two-headed fry was found in the belly of a blue shark. And such finds are no longer uncommon. Scientists argue that such mutations occur due to environmental pollution, metabolic disorders, viral infections and a reduction in the gene pool.
11. Two-faced calf
At the end of 2016, a two-faced calf was born in Kentucky, which lived only 102 days. This is not the first such case. In 2010, the same mutation occurred in Egypt.
10. Six-legged fawn
This fawn was found in Everett Springs, Georgia, USA after being attacked by two dogs. The cub has two pelvis and uses one leg from each to walk.
9. Piglet mutant
This monkey-faced pig was born in 2008 in China. The hind legs of the animal were longer than the front ones, so it did not walk, but jumped. The owners did not get rid of the mutant, but made a local star out of him, and even made some money.
8. Siamese twins
Before us is not just a two-headed turtle, but Siamese twins. Another clear proof that a similar anomaly occurs in the animal world.
7. Five-legged lamb
The five-legged lamb was born in Wales. Despite the extra limb, the cub feels great, eats well and moves a lot.
6. A frog with extra paws
Mother Nature is not always guilty of mutations, because it is man who is the main cause of global pollution. This picture shows a frog infected with a tapeworm, which is the cause of these terrible deformations of its body.
5. Two-faced kitten
Another feline anomaly. This kitten was born in Arizona, and the owner even managed to leave him. The woman says that her pet is very affectionate and knows how to purr in a special way.
4. Pig-legged pig
The Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery at the University of Glasgow is a must-see in Scotland. Showcased here is an amazing collection of mutant animals put together by anatomist William Hunter.
3. Five-legged bull
This bull from Australia is quite normal, except for the fifth leg growing out of the forearm.
2. Two-faced calf
The world has seen many amazing animals, and not only with two heads, but also with three! And the most ancient multi-headed creature is the fossil of a long-extinct aquatic reptile that lived 120 million years ago and was something of a hybrid between a fish and a lizard.
1. Two-headed snake
Polycephaly is a genetic disorder as a result of which a living creature is born with several heads. The phenomenon occurs in the animal kingdom quite often, and some polycephaly even become long-livers. Thus, the two-headed rat snake lived in captivity for 8 years, and the two-headed king snake for 17 years at the University of Arizona.
