The town of Primorsko is located in the southern part of the Black Sea coast of the country, on the slopes of the Strandzha mountain range, the oldest in the Balkans. The climate here is very mild - moderately subtropical with little rainfall, the air is dry and crystal clear. But, was it only all of the above that attracted the highest members of the Communist Party of Bulgaria here, or did they know much more than can be read in reference books? This area, located in the delta of the Ropotamo River, was declared a specially protected nature reserve back in 1940, that is, long before the communist period in the history of Bulgaria. All work and research in it, including archaeological, were prohibited. Question. What was the reason for such harsh prohibitive measures? The world was already in the depths of the Second World War, and a reserve was established here. Or is it still not a nature reserve,And what about a secret security facility created to study the most ancient place of power in the Balkan region? And although Bulgaria was formally a neutral country, its ties with Hitlerite Germany were constantly strengthening. As for the interest of the German leadership in everything paranormal, this fact is well known. So it is quite possible that German grail hunters have been here as well. Several teenagers, at a simple request to show the way to the sanctuary, refused with fear in their eyes, and the elder added - “Yes, this is not a sanctuary, but a damn place. In the spring, our friend was eaten here by snakes. They found only clothes and bones from the guy. All he wanted was to break a couple of stones for his collection. The old people say he disturbed some kind of force."
Secret dacha of Todor Zhivkov
It was here that Todor Zhivkov, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Bulgaria, built his secret dacha "Perla", which even the leaders of friendly socialist countries knew nothing about. As usual in such cases, the entire area was fenced off with barbed wire and guarded. And the guests from the local population who accidentally wandered in were taken to the local police station and advised to forget everything they saw as soon as possible. They say that after resting in this house, the secretary general looked much better, gained new strength and was saturated with life-giving energy that helped him cope with any ailments. Interestingly, immediately after the 1989 coup, Todor Zhivkov, who ruled the country for more than 35 years, wanted to retire only here, but this was not allowed to him. Apparently, someone from the new government already knew about the cherished place and planned to recharge on their own with new forces.
For fifteen years the new owners of Bulgaria have been trying to squeeze out all the ancient secrets from this place, or at least understand the secret that attracted Todor Zhivkov here. For fifteen years, a tight access control and armed guards along the entire perimeter remained. But money and power did not become a pass into the labyrinth of eternal secrets. The result was zero, at least for the public, and interest in finding a source of super-energy disappeared, and the dacha was abandoned. The state secrets were removed and, finally, the archaeologists were allowed to start work. Then this fantastic place - Beglik Tash - was opened to the world. It was there that our route was laid.

This place was just as mysterious many thousands of years ago. Many outstanding scientists are arguing about one of the mysteries of that time. Although time constantly gives rise to new information and hypotheses, everything can become extraordinary. For example, the land that almost everyone has heard of, but no one has ever seen, or a mysterious country that once perished. So, can these places be associated with the mystery of the millennium - the search for traces of the Atlantean civilization?
Not far from the secret dacha Zhivkov and the ruins of the ancient city of Ranuli, in the immediate vicinity of the Ropotamo nature reserve (not far from the mouth of the river of the same name), on the spurs of Cabo Maslen, about 210 meters above sea level, only in 2003 (we already know why so late) was discovered a unique sanctuary of the Thracian period - Beglik Tash. This is the earliest sanctuary found so far in Southeast Thrace and on the entire Black Sea coast. The studies carried out prove that at the end of the Bronze Age (XIII century BC), active human activity was already observed here. Later, Greeks, Romans, Slavs and Pro-Bulgarians settled here.
The sanctuary is a circle of huge boulder stones located on a rocky surface in the middle of a large meadow on a total area of almost 12 hectares. Multi-ton boulders are collected and composed in a unique way and form a clock, calendar and observatory. Therefore, Beglik Tash is often called the Bulgarian Stonehenge. Huge boulders are skillfully processed by a technological method unknown to modern science (but by human hand?). Further, as always in the Ancient World, they are inexplicably raised to the top of the hill, where together with stone slabs and blocks they form incredible shapes.
Stone circles were carved into the rocks, recesses were made and through holes were carved, the purpose and purpose of which is still at the stage of speculation. There are even local legends that tell that Jason and the Argonauts visited this sanctuary in order to talk with soothsayers and offer sacrifices to the gods before embarking on their journey for the Golden Fleece.
Sanctuary or Atlantean Base?
In October 2004, archaeologists for the first time found evidence that Beglik Tash is only the outer visible center of a huge underground-aboveground complex and the prospects for research are simply fantastic. Now, three main functions of the complex can be defined: the Temple - an altar carved from a solid stone, consisting of two tanks with grooving, the main altar (huge stone blocks supported by only two or three points), as well as a stone throne on which the ruler sat or the head priest.
Calendar - holes are drilled in the rock surface, onto which, during the solstice and equinox, light falls, penetrating between two huge boulders standing next to each other.
Clock - the composition of stones is such that the sun's shadow falls from the main altar (a huge specially constructed curved boulder) on 6 small stones located in the north, acting as sundials, and divides the day into 6 equal parts (4 hours in modern terms) …
Also of interest is the labyrinth, which, according to legend, was intended to determine the fate of young boys. Entering the labyrinth, one had to choose a path - forward or to the left. The choice of the way forward was considered erroneous, as it showed standard thinking and led to a dead end. The path to the left was considered the right one, which eventually led to a rocky passage (gorge), also called the Oracle ("Kingdom of Hades"), symbolizing the entrance to the underworld, in the existence of which our ancestors believed.
Also interesting is the climb, which is a narrow gap carved into the rock 9 meters high. However, not everyone can pass through this gap. Those who neglect physical exercise and, due to their love for abundant nutrition, do not have a slender figure, do not have a chance to look into the Lower Land and join the wisdom of their ancestors, since the gorge noticeably narrows to its eastern edge. Surprisingly, until now, being among the steep cliffs of the "climb", a person is seized by a strange feeling. Since sonar channels are laid throughout the entire rock complex, which create amazing acoustics, the "Kingdom of Hades" seems to be saturated with ancient magic.
One of the main natural anomalies of the place is the amazingly clear sky at night in the summer months. The clouds are definitely bypassing it. An ideal location for an observatory. Only whose? The Thracians only used the complex built before them at their own discretion and in accordance with their beliefs. The main question remains open - who invented and built this complex initially. The stones have stood in this position for more than 15 thousand years. What was the original complex like? According to archaeologists, the sanctuary was seriously destroyed after the arrival of the first Christian missionaries around the end of the 3rd century AD. But man and the weather could not completely destroy what was built by the ancient builders, the search for which remains the main task of future generations.
God's hand
The incredible shape of a huge block weighing more than 200 tons, 12 meters long and 9 meters wide, gives rise to many mysteries and legends. Clearly oriented from North to South, relying on only two small points, this stone, violating the laws of physics, has stood like this since the day of installation. Who raised it to the highest point, established and clearly balanced? Modern transport cranes have a maximum lifting capacity of one hundred tons, and according to the latest data, the age of the stone is at least 15 thousand years. At the same time, the artificially processed sides and bottom of the block are clearly visible. An interesting place for those who like to test themselves and try to lie in a niche under the "God's palm". Not everyone will be able to relocate themselves and stay at least for a minute under the boulder. More than 200 stone tones hang overhead, it seems that the slightest push will move this block from its place and then end. Researchers believethat it was a place for a trial - a pure-hearted person could stay in a niche under the “God's hand” for as long as he wanted, and the guilty person was pushed back by the energy of the place.
