For more than four thousand years, the legend of Noah's ark has occupied the minds of researchers. According to most of them, the plot mentioned in the Bible, the Koran and the Torah is based on very specific facts - which means that the remains of the ark really exist somewhere in the region of Mount Ararat.
Finds and evidence
This is confirmed by numerous eyewitness accounts. Back in 1878, Englishman James Bryce, single-handedly conquered the top of Ararat, at an altitude of 4 thousand meters discovered a wooden bar that bore traces of processing. In August 1916, during the First World War, the Russian aviator Vladimir Roskovitsky, flying over the mountain, saw from the plane of the plane a small lake and the wreck of a ship on its shore. The pilot's report was delivered to Tsar Nicholas II, who ordered two special expeditions to be sent to survey this object at once. As a result, the remains of a structure resembling a large ship were found. But further research was interrupted by the revolution.
Preserved reports of Soviet pilots who saw the ark during World War II. In 1955, the French traveler Fernand Navarra found a processed wooden beam on the slope of Ararat - and handed over parts of it for examination to several universities. Scientists have determined that the tree is 4 to 5 thousand years old.
In 2000, the slopes of Ararat were carefully photographed from the satellite. An object that looks like a ship was found in the photographs, but its outlines were not quite clear.
To give an exact answer to the riddle of Noah's Ark, photographs of the Ararat slope, still classified by the US CIA, taken back in the 1970s, could have been. Then the American U-2 reconnaissance aircraft carried out regular flights over the territory of Turkey (where Mount Ararat is located - according to the 1921 treaty, the RSFSR ceded this part of its land to a friendly country that fought against the Anglo-Greek intervention) near the borders of the Soviet Union.
- As a result of a recent information leak from the US intelligence agency, reports have penetrated the press that a strange object, codenamed "Ararat Anomaly", has been repeatedly recorded in these photographs.

The sizes are almost the same
Professor at the University of Richmond, Porter Taylor, who at one time got acquainted with some of the photographs, is convinced that these photographs confirm the legends of the Flood.
According to him, the CIA is still hiding information about the found Noah's Ark for a number of reasons, the main one of which is the unwillingness to talk about one of the largest intelligence operations of the Cold War period, when American spy planes regularly flew over the territory of the USSR. Porter Taylor also claims that the photographs turned out to be quite clear and give an idea of the size of the vessel: 152 meters in length, 25 in height and 15.2 in width. These sizes are roughly the same as those indicated in religious books.
So did Noah's ark really exist? We will wait for new leaks of information - or such a thaw in relations between Russia and the United States, in which the “top secret” stamp would be removed from most of the documents stored in closed archives.
