Around 4:30 AM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) today, Monday, July 23rd, something started at the Yellowstone supervolcano. Seismograms at several locations around the massive volcano began to record strong and continuous activity underground.
Not all seismograms of course report this, but there are enough of them, in most of the area around the supervolcano, to make scientists start paying extremely close attention to the supervolcano.

The trouble is not limited to one seismogram, it spreads over a wide area beneath the volcano.

Yellowstone is one of 14 "super" volcanoes on this planet.
There is no reason to panic yet. If the authorities determine that an eruption is likely, they will warn us all.
So don't start acting like it's the end of the world. If there is a danger, we will receive a warning.
However, prudence dictates that we pay attention to what is happening, so we must have our own "backup plan".
