Working as the head of the rehabilitation department of the resort polyclinic in the early 80s, at a scientific conference of the country's neuropathologists at the Balneological Institute, I had the opportunity to hear a report at that time by the youngest professor - head. the Department of Pediatric Neurology at the Kazan Institute for Advanced Training of Doctors Alexander Yuryevich Ratner.
Today he is an outstanding scientist with a worldwide reputation. Thanks to him and his school, Russian neurology is the most advanced in the world. The topic of his scientific report at a conference at the Balneological Institute was related to cervical head injury during childbirth. There were no other works on this topic in Russia at that time. Abroad, trauma during childbirth has also hardly been studied. At the conference and in the first book "Cervical osteochondrosis", published in the 80s by prof. Ratner said that headaches, dizziness, impaired vision and hearing, heart pains, high blood pressure and many other diseases are associated with osteochondrosis of the cervical spine and with an injury to the cervical spine received during childbirth.
His report shocked me and predetermined my entire future professional destiny. The unimaginable was happening during the breaks. Serious passions were in full swing. It was hard to believe that the source of the disease was the neck, not the head. Scientists have generally split into three camps. Some, the younger ones, understood that Ratner was right. Others, understanding Ratner, were modestly silent, without entering into a discussion, since with this approach it was necessary to stop thousands of works on brain pathology, for which budget money had already been allocated. Still others categorically disagreed with the young professor, since with this approach it was necessary to admit the failure of the obstetric care system in the country.
Quite recently, in 2001, a brochure by P. Zamaratsky was published, "The cause of the disease is birth trauma." It can be seen from it that Alexander Yuryevich is 100% right. He gives killer statistics here. For example: “10-15 minutes is enough. oxygen starvation of the brain so that it affects its functioning. There are no neurologically healthy children. 70-80% suffer from the cervical spinal cord, 35-40% suffer from the thoracic and lumbar regions. " And in practice, this translates into headaches in the future. By the age of 8-9 - leads to significant pathological changes in various organs.
There are problems with mastering the curriculum, disobedience, inappropriate behavior. And this is not the sphere of activity of teachers and psychologists. Such children should not be brought up, but treated. I have listed only some of the most common complaints in the pathology of the cervical spine. If the lumbar spine is affected, these are problems with the gastrointestinal tract. Possible incontinence of urine and feces, the development of flat feet, dysplasia of the hip joints, etc.
And if both parts of the spinal cord suffer, at least slightly, which in practice we see - then that's it! The child, due to the asymmetric development of the muscles of both halves of the body, is doomed to posture disorder, scoliosis. Having examined in 1991 about 3000 children in school and preschool institutions, we found in 98% of cases the defeat of the musculoskeletal system. This almost coincides with the Ratner School of Spinal Cord Studies.
Did you know that bedwetting in childhood is future early impotence in men and frigidity in women? Nasal bleeding in a teenager is a kind of "outlet valve" that protects against increased intracranial pressure caused by damage to the cervical spinal cord. Commercial firms have long used this knowledge and mainly treat neuroses, chondrosis, impotence. (P. G. Zamaratsky, 2001)
In 1972, Aleksandr Yurievich Ratner became the head of the Department of Pediatric Neurology. More than a dozen years passed until Ratner's ideas were finally accepted by a wide range of specialists. At present, it is already becoming clear to many that the imperfection of the obstetrics system is one of the essential causes of human diseases.
In the book of PG Zamaratsky there are the following words: “In the poems of Homer, one can read that at the birth of Apollo, his mother Latona rested her knees on the ground and with both hands clasped a palm tree (thus she took, apparently, one of the most common at that time provisions). We have been engaged in the rehabilitation of children who have been injured during childbirth for 22 years. And we have developed our own approach to this issue. Since we cannot change the imperfect system of obstetrics and significantly reduce the injuries of children during childbirth, we use orthomolecular (cell) medicine and methods of physical rehabilitation to significantly reduce the consequences of these injuries. Particularly effective in this respect is our massage technique, which has been "developed" over 2 decades.
We have a program to prepare the expectant mother for conception and pregnancy. This contributes to a good bearing of the fetus and the birth of a healthy baby. At the same time, the health of the woman in labor is quickly restored after childbirth. By the same means, we lead the first period of pregnancy and prepare the expectant mother for normal lactation. In the last period before childbirth, we prepare the birth canal for delivery. As a rule, children are born relatively healthy with a minimum of complications and do not cause significant trouble for either the mother or us.
We receive children who have suffered a trauma during childbirth at any age. We "lead" them to the age, until their physical development ends. And the effectiveness of such treatment is high.
In adults, 98% of the pathology that they suffer is largely the result of an injury received during childbirth. And all subsequent illnesses that accompany a person throughout his life do not arise by chance, not by themselves. All of them are stages of one general pathological process in the body, manifesting themselves at different stages of development by various diseases. Each of the newly emerging diseases is caused by the previous ones and is associated with them. This is a single cumulative pathological process (ECPP). This process has a common beginning - primary disorders of the vital activity of cells due to 3 main reasons, leading to the whole variety of diseases - and a common end.
For example: impaired posture already in adolescence causes vegetative-vascular dystonia of the hypotonic type (i.e., leads to a decrease in blood pressure). And any hypotonic in the future is hypertensive. By middle age, the reduced pressure is replaced by its increase (vegetative-vascular distortion of the mixed type). Later, after 45-50 years, it is replaced by vegetative-vascular dystonia of the hypertensive type and leads to hypertension, which can end in a sad ending: cerebral hemorrhage or myocardial infarction. And this is persistent severe disability or death.
But before hypertension develops, the patient suffers from colitis, cholecystitis, bronchopneumonia, etc. Headaches begin at a certain point. Then they are replaced by dizziness, and the patient's vision deteriorates. And all these diseases throughout human life do not arise spontaneously, but are stages in the natural development of a single cumulative pathological process, the beginning of which, to a large extent, was laid by birth trauma.
Many researchers now believe that cardiovascular disease and malignant cell growth (cancer) have common roots. The beginning of this process is laid during childbirth and in the first year of life. Our practical long-term experience and deep understanding of the dynamics of the cumulative pathological process allowed us to find effective methods of combating such diseases, to prevent their development, thereby preserving life itself and its quality.
BIRTH INJURY
The baby's spine is extremely sensitive to various mechanical stresses accompanying the childbirth process.
The likelihood of injury increases dramatically when:
* stimulation of labor;
* the imposition of obstetric forceps;
* delivery by cesarean section;
* prematurity;
* low weight of the newborn (less than 3000);
* a large mass of a newborn (more than 4000).
In the latter case, damage to the cervical vertebrae or their ligamentous apparatus with subsequent subluxation and instability are almost always the case.
The danger is that these sometimes insignificant displacements of the cervical vertebrae and trauma to their ligamentous apparatus lead to:
* depletion of cerebral blood flow due to compression of the vertebral arteries;
* development of spasm of the entire arterial bed in the vertebro-basilar basin even with slight stretching or compression of the vertebral arteries due to their abundant autonomic innervation;
* violation of venous outflow from the cranial cavity;
* violation of the outflow of cerebrospinal fluid from the cranial cavity.
All this leads to an increase in intracranial pressure.
