Many have heard that Kabbalah is a secret teaching. The veil of secrecy has become a pretext for all kinds of falsifications, legends and fictions. But when the word "Kabbalah" is used, most people get the idea of witchcraft and magic, and not of any philosophy. Indeed, magic has always been her indispensable accessory. Kabbalah was born enveloped in sorcery and magic. Such occupations were contrary to the Mosaic Law, but the influences of the polytheistic period and the influence of paganism from the earliest times generated in Israel magic and fortune-telling.

The almost forgotten mysterious Kabbalah suddenly found a second wind and is experiencing a real boom today. Today this ancient and at the same time modern common human wisdom is actively spreading throughout the world. So what exactly is Kabbalah? What does it hide in itself and what are its origins?

For a long time Kabbalah was a secret teaching. But at the end of the 20th century, the trend gained immense popularity, information about Kabbalah became available to absolutely everyone.

Kabbalah is a spiritual mystical-philosophical teaching of Jewish origin. Religious Jewish books are considered its main sources. Translated from Hebrew, the word "Kabbal" means "receiving." According to the adherents of the doctrine, Kabbalah helps a person to find his own path in life, the path to spiritual comfort, and most importantly - to answer the eternal question of all mankind - "What is the meaning of life?" Kabbalists calculate the numerical meanings of the words of the Torah and try to find encrypted prophecies about the future destinies of the world in them.

This is not just a mystical teaching or science, but a special worldview. For example, there is a theory called "stages of development of the five desires." The degree of development of both an individual and civilization as a whole is determined by desires and the search for ways to satisfy them. Kabbalists divide the whole complex of human desires into five main stages:

1. Food;

2. Striving for wealth;

3. Striving for fame and power;

4. Thirst for knowledge;

5. Striving for the spiritual.

The last fifth desire in a person appears when he ceases to receive satisfaction from everyday life. In this case, another need arises - for spiritual perfection. Then earthly pleasures - power, wealth, etc. - fall into the background. At this moment, a person has an acute question of what he lives for. One of the most basic concepts in Kabbalah is the “point in the heart”. The heart is a collection of earthly desires, and the striving for spiritual perfection is called a point in the heart.

Kabbalah refers to wisdom that has been passed down from generation to generation for centuries. The secret of the bondage was kept secret during this time. The reason why everything was kept secret was the fear of sorcerers that smart but selfish people would be able to take over the information. They feared the devastating consequences to which this could lead.

Today, hobby for Kabbalah has become a fashionable occupation. This is due to the fact that such famous figures of show business as Madonna, Britney Spears, Demi Moore, Paris Hilton, David Beckham and others have declared their addiction to this form of religion. Their Russian colleagues are also interested in Kabbalah. Adherents of this religious movement are Philip Kirkorov, Andrei Makarevich, Vladimir Soloviev, Oleg Menshikov and many others. Some government officials also promote Kabbalism, which can have serious consequences.

This tremendous energy can be of immense benefit if kept under control. Not everyone can understand Kabbalah. But the information should have its continuation, therefore, one way or another, the sages have to initiate someone into it. For this they imposed strict conditions, and not everyone can be initiated into the secrets of Kabbalah.

Religious scholar Alexander Dvorkin argues that, according to the rules, only a Jew who professes Judaism can practice this teaching. Moreover, it must necessarily be a man over forty years old, who knows Hebrew perfectly and has devoted his whole life to studying the Holy Scriptures.

Kabbalah has become a science, not just a teaching. Moreover, the science is quite complex and, one might say, dangerous. Only a select few have such secret information. Therefore, except for the sages and magicians themselves, no one anywhere will be able to find out what Kabbalah is studying. As for the stars of show business and others, their kabbalism is nothing more than an advertising sign, the purpose of which is to attract the attention of gullible customers.

In Los Angeles, the Caballa Center is known, which is headed by Rabbi Philip Berg, offering to gain immortality and success. But first, the followers of the teachings must make large monetary donations or even write off their property in favor of this center. People who are involved in Kabbalah study circles end up in a group that looks like a totalitarian sect. As a result, they completely or partially lose control over their lives. Gradually, their personality is leveled, replaced by a pseudo-personality fully controlled by the leaders of the sect.

After the singer Madonna came to believe in the positive energy of Kabbalah, which allegedly stopped the aging process and healed without drugs, her subsequent projects failed. Her husband shared her religious obsession and his career began to decline, although he used to be a brilliant British filmmaker. The founder of the American Institute for the Study of Destructive Cults, Rick Ross, believes that Madonna has become a sectarian puppet. But failures in business and personal life that persecute a person make them believe in Kabbalah even more.

Scholar Alexander Dvornik says that such people are taught that all their successes and successes are due to the fact that they are engaged in Kabbalah. If they stop, something terrible will happen. And people, fearing that a black streak of bad luck and setbacks will begin in their lives, are panicky afraid to leave there. According to the scientist, these people, chasing omnipotence, actually lose critical thinking and freedom. They turn into weak-willed puppets for the sectarian leadership.

Even religious Jews themselves argue that the modern fascination with Kabbalah is nothing more than a profanation. Real Kabbalah is part of Judaism, part of Jewish teaching, presented in extremely complex language. To master its terms and concepts at the level of a true real understanding of the subject is a matter of serious study for decades. This knowledge is the lot of very few. Therefore, Kabbalah is still one of the most famous, but, in fact, and meaningless teachings.
