One of the photos from the trip showed a UFO

In search of the anomalies of the Samara Luka, the AIF expedition headed to the Arrow of Tokhtamysh, a mystical hill, the origin of which researchers associate with the battle on the Kondurcha River, which in the 14th century largely predetermined the fate of Europe

“Look what a flat wall, as if it was cut out with a knife,” Oleg Ratnik, vice president of the Avesta research group, points to a hill where our car is approaching. - According to our hypothesis, this hill is man-made, the headquarters of the Khan of the Golden Horde Tokhtamysh was located on it. The hill was erected by order of the khan before his battle with Tamerlane. According to the stories of local residents, even now the stars from time to time come into motion here and fold into the outline of a person dressed in a kaftan."

After more than six centuries, it is still not clear where the battle between Tamerlane and Tokhtamysh took place. Historians believe that this battle, which saved Europe from the second Tatar-Mongol invasion, took place on the Kondurcha River, which flows through the territory of the Samara region and Tatarstan.

“This question remains open, but we have drawn attention to the following circumstance. Local legends say that Tokhtamysh had a “big magic arrow,” says Igor Pavlovich, president of the Avesta group.

- Samara local historian Viktor Pyliavsky, using the capabilities of aerial reconnaissance, made several flights over this area, took a series of photographs. But it seemed to us not enough, and we ordered a survey from space, using the "Global" system. Imagine our amazement when we saw that the contours of the hill on which we are now are similar to the outline of an arrowhead! Moreover, this arrow coincides with the drawing of the constellation Virgo."

The very first expedition of researchers to the hill was not without mysticism. It seems that from time to time someone here "turns off the light": it darkens around sharply, and the usual illumination mode returns only after a few minutes. The second effect, seen in the area of Tokhtamysh's Arrow, is called by researchers the word "mockingbirds".

“Usually a group has two or three radios to exchange information during searches,” explains Oleg Ratnik. “Here, these radio transmitters fail: the phrase you utter suddenly starts repeating itself and accelerating until it turns into a cacophony. Signalers were asked - they were at a loss. They say it looks like someone is deliberately recording your audio signal and immediately reproduces it with distortion. What for? There is a version that in the depths of the hill there is an alien base. And in this way they are trying to establish contact with us."

Our radio equipment, oddly enough, is working properly. However, there is something to be surprised at. Oleg Ratnik took a dosimeter with him from home to measure the level of radiation. The day before I checked the device, installed fresh batteries in it. But as soon as we climbed the hill, the device refused to work. The contour of the hill Divine UFO But abnormal phenomena have not surprised local residents for a long time.

“The peoples of the Volga region have their own beliefs that have remained from ancient times. For example, in the formidable deity Keremet: it appears to people in the form of a fireball or a glowing snake with a tail, - says Lydia Lyuboslavova, senior researcher at the Togliatti Museum of Local Lore. - It is believed that Keremet must be appeased with prayers and sacrifices. Also, in the form of a fireball, the inhabitants of Samara Luke describe a certain creature Aves: they believe that this is the soul of a deceased person, which must be feared. The very existence of such myths and legends makes us understand: fiery objects on the territory of the Samara Luka have been appearing since ancient times, and the population perceives them as something commonplace. I hope physicists will be engaged in a systematic study of these phenomena."

Lydia Lyuboslavova recalls how she observed a mysterious luminous object in the sky with her own eyes: “Two groups saw it at the same time, located in different parts of the Samara Luka. The object appeared at a high altitude around midnight. Like a large star, it moved from south to north towards Kurumoch Airport, without sound. At that moment, an airplane took off from the airport across the street. The object stopped in mid-air and turned smoothly to the side. Then he described a curved line and disappeared - as if he had melted. The observation process took about 10 minutes. I think it was these UFOs - in the form of fireballs - that gave rise to the myth of the outward appearance of the deity Keremet among local residents."

I confess that during the trip to the Zhiguli Mountains, I did not have a chance to see any mysterious objects in the sky. Although, as it turned out later, I did not look around too closely. Already upon arrival in Moscow, I undertook to study the photographs taken on Samarskaya Luka and made sure: Oleg Ratnik's story about the mystical Arrow of Tokhtamysh and about the alien base, which, perhaps, was located in the belly of this hill, was not listened to alone (see the photo above with a UFO). Maybe it was Keremet, or maybe Aves. But physicists have something to think about.
