21-year-old Canadian tourist Eliza Lam disappeared from the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles on January 31 last year. Her parents reported missing, and the girl's body was soon discovered - naked and floating in the hotel's water tower (which served as a source of water for the guests). Apparently, the body spent about two weeks in the water.

The story is creepy, but now it's going to be truly sinister:

The last minutes of Lam's life were recorded by a security camera located in the elevator. In the frames that you can see below, the girl has only a few minutes to live. If you watch them, you will probably agree that the girl is acting rather strange. Considering that absolutely no trace of drugs or alcohol was found in her blood.

It seems that she is either running away or hiding from someone or something. Surprisingly, the elevator doors remain open all this time - almost four minutes. All this time, Lam is trying to hide from someone's eyes, then looks out, then as if he is talking to someone, then makes some strange movements with his hands. Finally, the elevator doors are closed.

But even that is not the strangest thing

Lam's body was discovered by an auxiliary worker - after hotel guests began to complain about the low pressure in the taps. So they learned that they had been drinking water contaminated with a decaying body for two weeks.

How could she get there? The water tower is located at the very top of the building, and was locked up all the time. To get there, Lam had to pass two locked doors, protected by an alarm. The alarm was never turned off.

What really happened? The most popular "folk" ideas are, of course, ghost abduction, aliens, and other such horrors. As for the police, they cannot offer any sane version.
