A resident of London Libby McNairy claims that while looking through pictures of the streets of Liverpool, using the popular Internet resource "Google Street View", she accidentally noticed a frightening face in the window of a local hotel, which she took for a ghost. A twenty-year-old girl claims that a mysterious face cannot be confused with anything, while she, of course, can easily confirm her words - any of us needs to find this place on the map ourselves.

This is the Stuart Hotel, located in Liverpool's Walton district. The British writes: “I was going to go to Liverpool to visit my relatives. I wanted to look at pictures of the city to find some familiar places, including the grocery store where my aunt works. I found it, and there was a small hotel opposite. For the sake of interest, I opened his photographs and suddenly noticed in one of the upper windows a completely creepy face, similar to a bald, grinning man with gray skin. You can find a hotel there yourself, enlarge this picture and make sure that I am not lying."

According to Libby, she immediately assumed that there were ghosts at the Stuart Hotel, and one of them appeared in the hotel window when someone decided to photograph the building. McNairy, by the way, visited Liverpool and on one of the walks was near the hotel, but did not see anything unusual in the windows.

It's not so easy with a ghost

When the girl told about the find to Internet users, many regulars of the Network who viewed the picture thought it was Halloween decorations or just a scary picture printed and hung on the glass by one of the guests as a joke. However, not all so simple.

Colin Jordan, the current owner of the Stuart Hotel, found out about this photo and told reporters an interesting story. In 1897, the then owner of the hotel, Robinson Pemberton, began to hear a strange scratching in the attic of his house. At first, the Englishman thought it was an ordinary rat, but over time, the sounds became incredibly loud, and even neighbors began to hear them. Pemberton hired people who combed the entire building, but found nothing. This devilry stopped only when the pastor visited the hotel, sprinkled the walls with holy water and left a Bible in the attic. However, according to Colin, the photograph could well have captured the ghost that was never found two centuries ago. But why did he come back?..
