In Peru, residents of an Indian village burned an elderly woman alive, accusing her of witchcraft. The moment of the murder was recorded on a cell phone by one of the local residents.

The video shows how a woman with her hands tied is placed on a pile of brushwood, doused with gasoline and thrown a lighted match. The terrible crime was committed in a remote village where there is no telephone connection, as a result of which the crime committed on September 20 became known only a week later.

The reason for the brutal murder was the suspicion of the villagers that a 73-year-old woman was bringing diseases to them, RIA Novosti reports. Before the execution, an impromptu trial took place, at which 40 residents of the village sentenced the unfortunate woman to death, making a corresponding entry about this in the local event log.

A detachment of armed police was sent to the village. Law enforcement officers found the remains of a burned woman at the scene of the crime. Police believe the victim's body continued to be burned for three days. The journal in which the verdict was recorded was seized by the authorities as evidence of the crime.
