The city of Boden is small, with 28 thousand inhabitants. It is located in the north of Sweden, just 110 kilometers from the Arctic Circle. At the beginning of the 19th century, a fortress was founded on the rocky shore of the Baltic Sea, and a small town grew up near the fortress.

The military played an important role in Boden's life from the very beginning. Therefore, it is no coincidence that the Museum of Military History and Defense is organized in the town. It is located on the premises of the former Norrbotten artillery regiment. The exposition of the military history museum is dedicated to the history of the Swedish armed forces and the military history of Europe from the late 19th century to the present day.

The museum was opened not so long ago and its expositions are expanding and forming. While museum staff collected exhibits and prepared exhibition halls, nothing supernatural happened there. Since the museum was opened to visitors in September 2006, employees began to notice unpleasant manifestations: they heard the sounds of footsteps along the corridor when no one was there, and children's laughter.

At night, the windows of the building began to open by themselves, the glass shattered. This happens at a time when there is no one in the museum building. Boden is a calm city, everyone knows everyone, there are no facts of hooliganism and vandalism. Glasses from the broken windows were sent for examination to the manufacturing plant to determine the cause of the damage. Factory experts have not yet been able to figure out why the glass broke.

In the barracks of the Norrbotten artillery regiment, in the place of which there is a museum, there was a temporary hospital in 1918: there were placed patients there during the flu epidemic. Museum employees, they say, have an unpleasant feeling in the halls, as if someone was watching them from the outside.

Museum director Annakarin Rennback can confirm their words, because she feels it too. When she is alone in her office, she always has the feeling that someone else is there and watching her. From time to time, music sounds from an empty corner of the office.

Museum visitors do not notice anything. When the museum is crowded, schoolchildren crowd and talk in the halls, tourists come in, the poltergeist does not appear. But when the museum closes and the employees remain in the silence of empty halls and offices, this is where strange things begin: in the corridors there is the sound of numerous feet, as if soldiers are running to the formation. Then suddenly someone starts laughing - the involuntary listeners feel uncomfortable. From dark corners, not only music is heard, but someone's cautious giggle.

No measures are taken against the unexpectedly manifested poltergeist in Boden, because nothing dangerous or harmful has happened, except for broken glass and spoiled mood of employees of the city Museum of Military History and Defense.
