1. Sominskoye lake

This lake is located in the Volyn region, in the forest that surrounds the village of Somin. As the locals say, birds do not sing near this lake, and fish never bite in it. However, none of the local residents have long risked fishing in Lake Sominskoye, let alone swimming in it, because it can end very sadly. Legends say that a huge monster with the body of a crocodile and a snake's head lives in the lake, which dragged many unwary bathers under the water.
