On July 2, 1947, William Braisel, an American farmer, discovered on his ranch fragments of an aircraft that had fallen from the sky and pieces of strange film. He kept it for several days, but then he nevertheless turned to the Sheriff of Chavez County, and he contacted the military. Brazel Ranch is located 75 miles northeast of Roswell, New Mexico, so it is customary to give this find the name "Roswell". They also talk about the tragedy in Roswell due to the fact that the 509th US bomber group from the Roswell airbase dealt with the fragments of the apparatus.
From the moment the military confiscated the wreckage from Brazel, the farmer's role in the case ceased. It is unlikely that anyone will be able to say anything about his further fate. But for us, it is important that only a small part of the aircraft was found on the ranch: over this point on the Earth, the UFO crashed and lost part of its structure (the fact is associated with the hit of the device in a strong lightning discharge, which, for example, causes bewilderment among the authors: perfect UFO using "plasma glide" for movement, could this happen?).
But the device itself, it turns out, fell over the mountains, 150 miles to the west, in the San Augustine Valley, on the ground adjacent to the city of Alamogordo. The public knows the least about this fact. Although the fact that the military units of the White Sands test site very amicably and in an organized manner found the crashed UFO and transported it to the Murok airbase, people are more or less aware. True, there are legends about the presence of the bodies of the dead and living (at first) enlonauts: who says that they are kept and stored in Roswell, who names other places …
However, on July 8, upon first seeing the wreckage at the ranch and after being transported to the base, Air Base Information Officer Lieutenant Walter Hot made an inconsistent sensational report about the crashed flying disc. This does not mean that the disc remained in Roswell: that soon the disc was no longer at the base, that it was passed on to higher aviation ranks, people guessed before … However, there was no one to ask …
Major Jesse E. Marsell from the reconnaissance company, on whose orders the unit went to the ranch, of course, did not think to warn the lieutenant that he was silent about the find, and the situation got out of the control of the military: the message reached the Associated Press agency and got in the London Times and in the New York Times.
I had to urgently compose a legend. When Hot's press release was being prepared for press release, it was not even coordinated with Commander Colonel Blanchard. A big scandal was brewing. Deputy Commander of the United States Air Force, Lieutenant General H. Vanderberg, urgently requested the UFO to his place (Major Marcell took the find to Carswell, and then to Wright Patterson, Ohio), and General Reimi held a press conference in Fort Worth, Texas (also an air base).
The performance was played out almost to the score, and, as they say, the trick was a success. Expert Irving Newton (meteorologist) publicly recognized in the presented "find" the fragments and scraps of the meteorological balloon and even named its brand. The misinformation "worked". True, the Washington Post expressed its doubts about the veracity of the information provided by the general, believing that the military was hiding the truth from the reading public and interested researchers.
At the site of the UFO disaster (SanOgastin Valley), and on the way to it, the object descending in an emergency manner was seen by about two hundred people of outside observers. It was from them that a wave of spreading the true story began (however, of course, also with speculation). First of all, people were amazed at how professionally the loading of the ship and the evacuation of the enlonauts were proceeding (yes, they were seen! - they say, one pilot died, and the second was alive): it seemed that the "emergency crew" was doing this work far from the first! She even brought a refrigerator to the place where the ship was wrecked!

In addition, with the ship itself, and not with part of its fuselage that fell off and fell on the Brazel ranch, the military acted so clearly that not a word in the press on this topic appeared. But White Sands was earlier in time than the find on the ranch, although it belonged to the same UFO: the farmer still kept it, hesitating to notify the authorities.
However, the find in Roswell was immediately classified so much that not only in the military archives there was no trace left about it (this is at the time when the Air Force instruction prescribes any flight accidents to record and store information forever). Even the influential US Congressional Control and Financial Administration, which specifically investigated this issue in 1995, did not find a trace of the find. If only the Air Force! No trace was found in any of the 15 departments, which, in one way or another, should have been at least indirectly related to the incident. And in the libraries of the country, all the press disappeared in 1946-1949 …
That, in fact, is all that was known at that time. But a few decades after the incident itself, a curious document from the US government was published, possibly one that could shed light on the events of 1947. These documents were drawn up on November 18, 1952 for the then-elected President Eisenhower.

OPERATION MAJESTIC 12 is a SUPER SECRET research and Government intelligence service for the President of the United States only.
The planning and control of the operation is carried out by the group "Majestic 12" ("Mazhik 12"), which was established by order of President Truman on September 24, 1947 on the recommendation of Dr. Venniver Bush and Minister James Forrestal.
Members of the Majestic-12 group were appointed:
Admiral Roscoe H. Hillenketter, Dr. Winniver Bush, Minister James Forrestal, General Nathan F. Twining, General Hoyt S. Vandenberg, Dr. Ditlev Bronk, Dr. Jerome Hunsaker, Mr. Sydney W. Sourses, Mr Gordon Gray, Dr. Donald Menzel, General Robert M. Montague, Dr. Lloyd W. Berkner.
Following the death of Minister Forrestal on May 22, 1949, his place in the group remained vacant until August 1, 1950, and was then replaced by General Walter B. Smith.
On June 24, 1947, a civilian pilot flying over the Cascade Mountains in Washington state discovered nine disc-like craft flying in formation at high speed. Although this was not the first known sighting of such objects, the event became the primary source for widespread publicity. Hundreds of reports of similar objects followed. Many of them come from highly reliable military and civilian sources.
These messages were analyzed independently by the efforts of several different directions in the Armed Forces to reveal the truth of these objects from the standpoint of national defense interests. Many witnesses have been interviewed and several unsuccessful attempts have been made to use aircraft to chase the discs in flight. The reaction of the population at times bordering on hysteria.
Despite much effort, there was little progress in exploring the nature of these objects until a local farmer reported that one object crashed in a remote area of New Mexico, approximately seventy-five miles northwest of the Roswell military base (now Walker Feld).
On July 7, 1947, a secret operation began to discover and scientifically examine the wreckage of this object. During the operation, our aerial reconnaissance also found four small humanoid creatures, which, apparently, ejected (thrown) from the apparatus before its explosion. They fell to the ground about two miles east of the crash site. All four were dead, mutilated and in a state of severe decay, as before they were discovered, they were preyed by rodents, beetles and microorganisms for almost a week.
A special scientific group took these bodies for study …

A nondisclosure agreement was taken from civilian and military witnesses, and a version was circulated that the object had lost control of the hydrometeorological research balloon.
A preliminary secret analysis, organized by General Twining and Dr. Bush on direct instructions from the President, indicates (September 19, 1947) that the disk most resembles a small reconnaissance apparatus. This conclusion is based on the correspondence between the size of the apparatus and the size of the reconnaissance aircraft and with the obvious absence of any supplies on board …
A detailed analysis of the four dead crew members was performed by Dr. Bronk. From the preliminary conclusion of this group (November 30, 1947), it follows that, although the appearance of the deceased is human-like, the biological and evolutionary processes corresponding to their development differ significantly from the processes that ensure the vital activity of Homo sapiens.
Dr. Bush's group coined the interim term "Extraterrestrial biological creature - EBS" to refer to these creatures, meaning its further refinement at subsequent stages of study.
It seems indisputable that this apparatus was not created in any country on earth. The main topic for reflection is the question of their origin and how they got here.
Their possible base could and presumably remains Mars, although some scientists, especially Dr. Menzel, consider them more likely to come from another solar system.
On some of the wreckage, hieroglyphic markings were found. All attempts at decryption were unsuccessful. Also unsuccessful were the attempts to figure out the way the object moved, the principle and way of the propulsion system.
Known methods and devices for propulsion and towing (wings, propellers, jet engines, vacuum tubes, etc.) were calculated and modeled … Everything was complicated by the fact that the propulsion device was destroyed by an explosion that caused an accident.
The need for the most possible additional information about this object, its technical characteristics and its purposes is shown in the air force project called "Sign" in December 1947.
To maintain secrecy, communication on this issue between the Znak and Majestic-12 groups was limited to two persons in the intelligence department of the Aviation Logistics Directorate, whose role was limited to the transmission of information of the usual type through established channels. In the framework of the "Sign" in December 1947, the project "Angry" was opened. All of his work was done under the code name "Blue Book" through the Air Force officers leading the project.
On November 6, 1950, a second object, likely similar to the first, crashed into the ground at high speed near El Indio Guerrero near the Texas-Mexican border after moving along a long trajectory in the atmosphere as observed from the ground.
A search team was immediately dispatched to find the remains of an almost completely burnt object. Samples of this material were rushed to Sandia, New Mexico for research.
Important to national security is that the motivation and ultimate goals of these visitors remain unknown. In addition, according to observations, the activity of these objects began in May and continues throughout the fall of this year, and a new development of events is possible soon.
For these reasons, as well as the international and technological significance of the problem and the need to avoid panic among the population at all levels, the Majestic-12 group expresses the opinion that the observance of the strictest secrecy measures should continue without the initiation of a new administration.
This document was received in 1984 by mail. Its sender remained unknown. Naturally, the question arises: is this a genuine document or another fake? Despite the fact that the seals and signatures on the documents are real, there are still grounds for doubt. Here are the main arguments of the opponents of the document's authenticity.
Truman's signature on a document is almost identical to the signature on one of the documents of the US Library of Congress, and a person cannot sign the same way twice. However, the authenticity of the second document was not verified by anyone, in addition, there is no expert opinion as to which signature is fake (and whether one of them is fake).
The label "Information with limited use" became generally accepted only in the 60s. Another thing is that it was used before. So this argument cannot be considered sufficiently weighty.
In addition, the description of the accident in the document is somewhat different from what the witnesses of the fall say. Where is the truth about the incident? The area is known to have likely crashed up to four flying discs (why would they?). Maybe the work of Stephen Skiff will finally be crowned with success, and we will learn about the fate of a strange apparatus and even stranger creatures …
It would seem that the US authorities did everything to extinguish rumors about the Roswell incident. Nevertheless, in 1996 the investigation was reopened.
This investigation was ordered in connection with the emergence of a film called simply, succinctly and extremely specifically: "Alien Autopsy".
How an alien was dissected
In 1995, Ray Santilli, a London-based music film journalist, released a film he called Alien Autopsy: fact or fiction.
This film made a great impression, and there is still debate about whether this film can be believed and what exactly it depicts. However, let's start from the beginning.
The film is in two parts; the first contains the history of the film itself, and also briefly describes the Roswell incident, while the second is the very sensational footage that Ray Santilli was able to find. We are talking about an autopsy by a group of surgeons or pathologists of a strange humanoid creature.
In order for you to get the most complete picture of the film, let's try now to briefly summarize the content of its first part.
Leading. This is a military airfield in Roswell, New Mexico. It was here that the base of the elite squadron number 509 was located. It was from here that the plane that bombed Hiroshima took off. The people who live here are used to keeping secrets, but what happened in 1947 really became a mystery. After 48 years, it remains a mystery.
Actual Radio Broadcast July 8, 1947. The army reported that the flying saucer was found and is now in the hands of the army. Some officers have already left for the scene. It happened in Roswell, New Mexico. Flying saucer is transported to Ohio for new research.
Walter Hoth, External Relations Officer, Rosuzl Military Base. I was summoned to headquarters and given a copy of the press release, which stated that we had a flying saucer at our disposal. I was told to take this dispatch to 4 news agencies, radio stations and newspapers.
Leading. This sensation immediately became known to most of the main newspapers in the country. It was the biggest sensation in the past few months. But then doubts arose. Four hours after General Raimi took command of the base, a new statement emerged: it was not a flying saucer, but a meteorological balloon.
Jes Marcel. My father worked in the intelligence department. He drove to Roswell to inspect the scene. When I arrived at the room, my mother was very excited (it was about two in the morning). I wondered what my father had brought from the scene. “They were parts of a flying saucer,” he said. What he brought was on the kitchen floor.
I looked at it, lifted it into the air. It was a metal plate that reflected sunlight. It was that simple. I think these are hieroglyphs or some kind of writing, and they are probably of unearthly origin (the film contains a fragment of a tape showing, apparently, the remains of the creature's equipment).
Leading. Apparently, these footage show what was found at the crash site of the flying saucer.
Jes Marcel. This flying ship wreck was very different from what I saw on the kitchen floor. Perhaps their size is much larger than what I have seen. What I saw was somewhat truncated in diameter and what is shown in this film is slightly larger - seven inches in diameter.
If this is a real film, it may be about another flying saucer. What I saw seemed to have been somehow knocked out of the flying ship and was at a great distance from it.
Leading. Even more interesting are the metal plates that were created for a creature with six fingers. I think this is something like a control device. They put their hands in special recesses and thus could control their spacecraft - perhaps by a thought process, perhaps by some other. The most important thing for them was to get in touch with this disc. A very unusual mechanism. Kevin Randall wrote a book about the incident. He claims that there are many more people involved in the investigation than you might imagine.
Kevin Randall. I've talked about this with about 50 people. They were the ones who cleared the scene. The most dramatic thing is …
Frankie Rose. … the secret never came to light. They tried to burn it all - nothing happened. Then they wanted to cut it by autogenous - it also did not work.
Leading. Frankie Rose's father (he was a local firefighter) let his daughter play with a piece of strange metal.
Frankie Rose. This metal was on the table. I took it and played with it for about five minutes. When I held it, I felt nothing. It seemed that there was nothing in the hand. It was a very light metal.
Walter Hot. I sincerely believe that a flying saucer from outer space fell to Earth. Apparently, the materials from which it is made are unknown on Earth. Comparing them to the materials I found at the ranch and brought back to town, I can’t say anything. If there was any doubt as to whether this was really the case, Frankie Rose's father should have been heard. He said there was living proof.
Frankie Rose. Dad entered the room very excited. He said he saw something from another world. There were two bodies that were lying on the ground next to the aircraft, and there was another small man, he said. This little man was still alive. He was nearby. He said that the other two were dead and the one who survived was very saddened. My father was a sober man, it was difficult to piss him off, and, in my opinion, this was the strangest thing I have seen in my life.
Leading. After conducting many interviews with many associated with the incident, Kevin Randall was able to recreate the sequence of events.
Kevin Randall. These bodies were transported to a hangar in Roswell, and then were taken to Iowa. Apparently, these bodies were in a large wooden box in the center of the hangar. What they did is incredible. They announced that they have a flying saucer, but they already have it, so no one was looking for it. After that, they transported the thing and told the press that it was just a balloon.
Jes Marcel. The only person who could say anything was bribed and said nothing. My father warned me not to say anything about what happened, that is none of my business and I could be in big trouble. “Don't even tell your friends,” he ordered. I didn't say. Many years passed and I learned that it may have been a flying saucer.
Kevin Randall. There is evidence that some people pressured eyewitnesses in order to silence them. Whether they were the military, whether they were representatives of state structures, is still unknown. We will probably never understand this. "You will be killed if you tell anyone," they said.
Leading. A man came to Frankie Rose and her father and asked them about the metal they had.
Frankie Rose. I said: "Yes, he was in my hands." After that, he began to speak very loudly, tapping himself on the arm with a truncheon:
"I want you to understand: you have never been there, you have not seen anything, you have not heard any talk about it." He said, “If you don’t understand this, we can take you to the middle of this desert. Nobody will ever find your bodies. No one will ever know what happened to you. Only in one case I will let you live on - if you do not tell anyone what happened to you. " I promised I wouldn't tell.
Ray Santilli. The "alien autopsy", of course, will always be a reason for ridicule. I have reason to think that Alien Autopsy is actually an Alien Autopsy.
Leading. Ray Santilli worked for a small music company in London. He was looking for films of 50s rock and roll bands when an elderly American told him, "By the way, I have some more footage."
Ray Santilli. I looked at it - it was the most unexpected thing that I could see in my life. Of course, my first impression came down to the following: "No, this is not real."
Leading. In fact, he was shown black and white rolls of a film without sound, on which a strange person was filmed. The operator, who had previously worked in the military, said that in 1947 he was called to Roswell, and it was there that he filmed the autopsy.
Ray Santilli. He also said that he was having problems developing one of the rolls, which is why he had to process it differently, and that roll remained with him and was not transported to Ohio like everyone else. He tried to give it to other people, but could not find them.
The tape was in a metal box, like the rest.
The question is: is this real footage? The only thing he saw that year was a flying saucer that fell near Roswell, but where it came from and where it went later - he does not know. This is an old man, and he cannot quite trust his memory, but at least he was sure that there was a flying saucer after all. It seemed to me that he was an honest man.
Leading. Then why doesn't Santilli want to tell anyone his name?
Roderick Ryan. We settled on with him that we will hide his identity, because he is afraid of those who want to know the details, or those who want to silence him. And I certainly respect his decision. He wants to lead a peaceful, calm life. I think this is his choice, he should be respected. I said that he can make a lot of money on this, he replied that he no longer cares about money.
Frankie Rose. Dad said the man looked like a small ten-year-old with pink skin and gray spots on it. I don't know what else my father could say, but the size of the head, the shape of the eyes - they are all similar to the way we imagine aliens.
Jes Marcel. I could not describe it, but it seemed to me that if I imagine an alien, then it will be exactly like this: a big head … it seems that my mother spoke of four fingers, here we see six.
Leading. According to Frankie Rose's testimony, her father saw three people.
Frankie Rose. Father said that we have nothing to fear, they cannot harm us. He felt very bad towards these people, because he could not help them. One of the officers struck with the butt of a rifle, and then pulled out a box from the man, which he was holding to his chest. Is this creature an inhabitant of another planet, another world? They will never return to their family, no one will know what happened to them.
Leading. It is possible, of course, that this is a story that the operators fabricated. Is there evidence to help us understand whether this is a fabrication or a real document? You looked at some of the items in these frames. Did they exist in 47 year?
The clock on the wall is a General Electric model that entered service in 1940. Bell telephone, 1937 - but they could be bought later. Let's take a look at other items. For example, film. Can you tell when it was created? Laurence Keith has been with Eastman Kodak for 16 years.
Lawrence Keith. Our company gave geometric designations to all films based on the year they were produced. Judging by the film that was in front of my eyes, it was produced in 1927, 47th or 67th year.
Leading. Perhaps this is a film from the year 47. What about the movie itself? Is it possible to prove that he is real?
Paul Shershey is Senior Curator of the Eastman Kodak Photo Lab in Rochester, NY. I think yes. This film could have been shot in the late forties or early fifties. When people ask me if it is possible to fabricate a film, I answer: no. It is very difficult to fabricate a real film. This requires technical knowledge and special equipment. This is a very expensive operation.
Alan Davio, one of the most famous cameramen in Hollywood. I have to say that what we see here is a big deception. The operator does not focus the image. I think he does it on purpose. But why? If he is a military operator, he should focus well.
Ron Maguire was a military cameraman in the 40s. I think the loss of focus comes from the gear they are using. The cameras used by military operators in those days were mostly Bell & Howell cameras. This camera focused very poorly, and if it did focus, it did not for long. There may be some good quality footage, but if the footage is simulated, it’s very difficult to prove that it wasn’t taken in 1947.
Allan Davio. The operator cannot reach the best angle. Sometimes there is nothing in the frame except the doctor's back. The operator is constantly moving the camera, but we don't see anything. Then he goes the other way, and again we see nothing. Apparently, it was not a professional cameraman.
Ron Maguire. He moves all the time in order not to interfere with the surgeons. If you look at the surgeons, they are also moving all the time, and he just tries not to interfere with them.
Ray Santilli. We discussed this with him. The fact is that he tried not to interfere with the surgeons, the camera was very heavy - no need to criticize him. The camera was in his hands, the surgeons were not supposed to pay attention to him. That is why he shot such shots. At that time they used just such cameras, and, therefore, I think we should not criticize the operator.
Ron Maguire. The task of the military operator is to record events. He doesn't have to shoot beautifully - in order to see everything. And I think that's a pretty good job.
Allan Davio. The job was done really well, but I don't think these were real events.
Paul Shershey: What we see gives the impression that everything was for real. It is very difficult to say whether this is so, but, in any case, the body looks like a real body. I think this is a unique film.
Leading. Is an alien autopsy really happening? Or maybe it's a mannequin? Or a deformed person? To find out, we showed this film to two of the world's leading pathologists.
Cyril Watch (did at least 40,000 autopsies). I have never performed an autopsy on a person who was even close to what we see in these frames.
S. M. Milroy (pathologist at Sheffield University in England). Anatomically, this creature only slightly resembles a person. No sex characteristics are visible.
Leading. A strange creature, which some believe came from space, does indeed look like an alien - as we imagine it. A huge head, big eyes - this is familiar to us from books and films.
Cyril Watch. But there is something else that is not like people. Each hand has six fingers. There are also six toes on each foot. This is the so-called polydactyly - many fingers. Perhaps this is a genetic abnormality. Sometimes it also occurs in humans. No male genitals are visible, so it is possible that the creature is female. However, there are no secondary sexual characteristics that should be observed in a woman here either. My first impression was that we were looking at a woman with Taurus syndrome. It occurs in about one woman in 40 thousand. They lack female chromosomes and do not respond sexually. However, such a woman can reach adulthood. Perhaps this creature survived until adolescence (although it is difficult to judge the age from these frames). This is not the only defect. Big eyes and six fingers are very unusual.
S. M. Miproy. It would be very difficult to find someone else with such abnormalities. These are very rare abnormalities, but I think it is still possible.
Cyril Watch. The secret is not only in the body, but also in the people who are examining. Apparently, these are real professionals. They know how to do an autopsy, so they are either pathologists or surgeons who have done autopsies frequently. They are not actors.
Of course, something has changed since 1947, but we see things that were impossible to understand then, for example, the use of a saw. I recall that this rectangular tray containing the instruments has been used for a very long time, many, many years. Such things are hard to come across now.
S. M. Milroy. It is very difficult to tell if they are really doing these autopsies or not. There are questions that I could ask if I met them. But, if it really is an alien, the question is, why did they only spend two hours there? Perhaps the autopsy should have been done over a period of weeks, months, or even years, if this is a real alien …
Leading. Apparently, this alien died when the flying saucer collided with the ground. However, pathologists doubt this. When the collision occurs at high speed, the body is much more disfigured. This alien has only one thigh mutilated. I wonder why this happened.
It looks like this damage could have been caused by a fire. But why only on one part of the body? However, when exposed to radiation, either in the case of a malignant tumor, or in the event of damage in the course of any experiment, exactly the area that was exposed to this influence is affected. A radiation experiment that failed? Maybe that's why doctors wear protective suits - they want to protect themselves from all abnormalities. Recall that Roswell, where the body was found, is located next to a secret nuclear test site.
Cyril Watch. What do we see in these frames? First of all, a very unhappy woman, who probably had a malignant tumor of the ovary or uterus, and after that she received radiation treatment. However, this will not explain multi-toes - chemotherapy will not give you a sixth toe. The disproportionately large head and eye shape are also not explained.
Leading. If the pathologists themselves cannot explain what caused such changes in the appearance of the creature, maybe we will deal with its internal structure?
Cyril Watch T. I cannot relate these structures to the contents of the abdominal cavity. After all, the liver, if it exists, should be here on the right. I see some kind of mass that I cannot explain. And I have great difficulty trying to relate this to any person I have seen.
S. M. Milroy. This is the structure that should be the brain. In any case, it is located in the head, like in a person. But this is not at all like the brain that I have seen in my life. It is not like a brain that has been traumatized or disturbed. It doesn't look like a human brain at all.
