In one of the maternity hospitals in the Indian city of Lakhisaray, Bihar, a girl was born with two bodies, four arms and the same number of legs. Doctors cannot explain the reasons for the birth of a child with such severe deviations. The baby's parents are in shock, according to the Mirror.
The girl's parents, farmers from a nearby village, said that the pregnancy was successful and they did not expect that they would have an unhealthy child. Doctors urgently took the baby to the intensive care unit, but they could not save him.
The mother and father of the child believe that, perhaps with such serious deviations, death is the most successful outcome for the girl.
“If she survived, every day would be like death for our daughter. She would have suffered all her life. Perhaps it was better to end the suffering immediately,”said the baby's mother, Savita Devi.
“It is likely that God has cursed us for the sins committed in our past life,” added the child's father, Suresh Peel.
Doctors noted that with such birth defects, the infant had no chance of surviving.
