Fenugreek
Located, according to legend, somewhere in Asia, Shambhala plays an important role for Buddhists, being a "pure land". This place was mentioned in ancient texts and was the prototype of Shangri-La Hilton. According to legends, Shambhala is a place where enlightened ones live, a place of peace and happiness. Because of this, many argue that Shambhala does not exist, and it is just a figment of the imagination of the ancients. However, a huge number of people still believe in the existence of Shambhala somewhere in the west of Tibet or in Siberia.
Astlan
According to myths, Astlan was home to a group of people who occupied most of South America before the Spanish arrived. Legend tells that there were seven tribes living in seven caves called Chicomostok. These tribes were called Nahua peoples. After they left their caves, they settled in Astlan. Legend also said that Astlan was heaven on Earth, others were sure that this place was hell. Today, it is assumed that the mythical place was located north of the Colorado River, near Florida, Lake Powell, or somewhere in Mexico.
El Dorado
El Dorado is often referred to as the Lost City of Gold. Although the legends surrounding the existence of this place seem too far-fetched to have any grain of truth, many people today go on expeditions again and again in search of this mysterious place. Those who are convinced that the lost city exists believe that it must be somewhere in the Amazon basin. One of the most famous expeditions was the one led by Francisco de Orellana. He was the first European to sail the entire Amazon River. He began searching for El Dorado with his uncle, but was the first to reach the Atlantic. As you know, the golden city has not yet been found.

Lemuria
Before the theories of tectonic plates and continental movement were recognized around the world, Lemuria was considered a continent that was located in the Pacific and Indian oceans. It was assumed that this lost land went under water for some terrible geological reasons. Modern science is more inclined to believe that the legends of Lemuria are fiction, although there are still people who are sure that Lemuria existed in ancient times.
Atlantis
The first mention of Atlantis we find in the dialogues of Plato "Timaeus" and "Critias", but so far the legends about this advanced civilization of antiquity do not leave our world. According to Plato, Atlantis was an island country with powerful naval forces. The inhabitants of Atlantis - the Atlanteans - conquered many countries of Western Europe and Africa and even tried to conquer Athens, which may have been one of the reasons for their death. Today there are several hypotheses regarding the location of the Atlantean island. According to some of them, Atlantis was in the Mediterranean Sea, others were convinced that it was an island in the Atlantic Ocean. Some even claimed that the Atlanteans lived in Antarctica, the Pacific and Indian Oceans, or in the Caribbean.
