A new investigation into the mysterious incident at the Dyatlov Pass has stirred up the Russian public. Strange theories began to appear on the Web again, and journalists recalled the most curious assumptions from the past. But it is not the first time that interest in Dyatlov's group is reviving: this topic has never retired, periodically reminding itself of itself with stories about "fireballs in the sky" and "top-secret" information about UFO operations.
The investigators who worked on the Dyatlov Pass case could not find the true cause of the mysterious death of the group of tourists. On May 28, 1959, the case was dismissed, and in the conclusion they wrote that the cause of the death of the students was "an irresistible spontaneous force." The wording turned out to be too vague and incomprehensible, so many conspiracy theorists from all over Russia undertook to fill this gap.
After the end of the case, the incident was forgotten for a while, but in the 1990s, a small note "Everything falls into place" from the newspaper "Uralsky Rabochy" recalled about Dyatlov's group. It was written by pensioner A. Gubin, who suggested that the tourists in a hurry left the tent due to the fall of the stage of the launch vehicle. In his opinion, the holes in the tent can be easily explained by the fall of the rocket fragments. In addition, shortly after the tragedy, another group of tourists allegedly received a telephone message to the secretary of the city party committee about a "ring of fire" in the sky. Gubin believed that students could encounter a similar phenomenon.
Even before that, in the press one could come across an article by Stanislav Bogomolov "UFO: the anatomy of a riddle", after which a new publication from the author appeared under the title "The Mystery of Fireballs".
Radiation was one of the theories. Another chief radiologist of the city, who was dealing with the case of Dyatlov's group, said that the clothes of the tourists were "contaminated with radioactive dust." The journalist rejected the theory of nuclear weapons, because he had very interesting evidence from the prosecutor Lev Ivanov, who was in charge of this case.
In all seriousness, he stated that "the tourists were killed by UFOs." The author of the article, however, was inclined to his own version: Dyatlov's group died due to a phenomenon unknown to science.
Later, the criminal prosecutor, who did not like the journalist's conclusions, decided to publish his article. In it, he described the course of the investigation and tried to prove the alien cause of the death of tourists. For example, Ivanov recalled that the Dyatlovites had almost no external injuries, but there were significant internal injuries. It is simply impossible to get such injuries: unless the car will drive into a person at full speed! There can be no cars in the mountains, but some kind of "force" still influenced tourists. In addition, Ivanov remembered how strangely the trees at the edge of the forest were burned. The snow is intact, the trees themselves are intact - as if some kind of "directed heat ray" was used here, which could be used selectively.

According to the prosecutor, when he told the management about the findings, he was ordered to classify all the data, and to tell his relatives the official version of hypothermia. “On the basis of the collected evidence, the role of UFOs in this tragedy was quite obvious …” - said Ivanov. In addition, he remembered the inexplicable fireballs in the sky that various tourists told about.
In the 90s, other theories appeared about the death of the Dyatlov group, even a whole book was published. We returned to this topic again in 2004, when as many as seven articles about the pass appeared. They recalled the old versions of the incident: both "rocket" and "radioactive, and even the prosecutor's version about the fault of the UFO. Some texts were diluted with the mystical legend about the "nine Mansi" who once perished in the area of the pass.
After the Prosecutor General's Office announced the resumption of the investigation into the death of Dyatlov's group, various theories began to surface again. Some even found a connection between the death of students and the disappearance of the crew of the ship "Maria Celeste" in 1872.
The official version now is this: the tourists "cut the slope" while clearing a place for their tent. By doing this, they caused a mini-avalanche to descend, which became the reason for their death. This version even justifies internal injuries without significant external injuries.
It is worth noting that the version about the mistakes and unpreparedness of tourists was put forward even from Sweden, only now it was immediately refuted by the head of the memory fund of the Dyatlov group, Yuri Kuntsevich. However, there is other evidence that one of the negative factors was the poor equipment of the students, who did not take such a responsible approach to such a dangerous trip.
Of course, they had many necessary things: spare skis, bandages, medicines, saws and axes, even Igor Dyatlov's special portable stove, which he once made together with his father - almost everything was at hand.
But the quality of the equipment sometimes suffered noticeably. The Dyatlovites themselves more than once wrote in their diaries about the tent, which they had to constantly sew up. She had already experienced many trips, so her reliability left much to be desired.
Search engine Sergei Sogrin noted that the group was well supplied with equipment of "disgusting" quality. The jackets are old, the tent is almost full of holes, and other things are also worn out. Of course, bad equipment does not explain the real reasons for the death of tourists, but still someone from the group could have survived if they had better prepared for this trip.
In addition, some people blame the organizers of the hike, who did not check the route properly, did not take the walkie-talkie, did not organize checkpoints: a lot was missed, and all this could ultimately affect the tragic results of the hike.
Recently, even TV presenter Andrei Malakhov announced that he would go to investigate the incident at the Dyatlov Pass together with the film crew and employees of the Prosecutor General's Office.
He spoke about this right during the program "Live", where the guests again recalled the possible causes of the tragedy from the past. Public figure Bari Sayfutdinov suggested that tourists could become victims of the beast - the wolverine. His version was quickly refuted, because no wounds from a predator attack were found on the bodies of tourists.
Yuri Kuntsevich, President of the Dyatlov Group Memory Foundation, made the assumption that the students were the victims of a blast wave from an unknown source. And one of the members of the expedition that found corpses on the pass - Vladimir Askinadzi - went even further in his assumptions. He believes that the tourists could have died "defending themselves against the killers."
There have been many versions, more than 80 pieces, but none of them has yet been confirmed. All that remains is to wait for the results of a new investigation, which may finally shed light on the mysterious death of Dyatlov's group.
